DEMOS

Sthrasher38 - 9-5-2008 at 09:17 AM

I have not seen anything for awhile. What's up? Does anyone have anything they can put up? Kites, harnesses, Boards, etc? I really enjoyed all the demos I have got to try on this forum. It helped with choice in purchases and prefferance. It brought lots of reviews and different opinions that I have missed for awhile now. Just trying to light some fire under your :moon::smilegrin: So hook it up if you can And put me on the list! Thanks.

Flysurfer Pulse2 14m $1500 shipped to the lower 48

Sthrasher38 - 9-5-2008 at 10:01 AM

Nice! Put me on the list for the $1500 Please.:spin:

BeamerBob - 9-5-2008 at 10:34 AM

It would be really cool if someone has an extra XL harness laying around that could be passed. I would love to be able to develop an opinion on harnesses without having to spend $3-400 before getting it right. A harness wouldn't reflect use very much while passed around I imagine. Thanks for all that has been passed already for sure.

BeamerBob - 9-5-2008 at 10:34 AM

I'll send the dirtsurfer on its way next week so that will start something again.

Sthrasher38 - 9-5-2008 at 10:58 AM

How did ya do with it? Dlish and I passed that one up after seeing it at Nabx. It looked a little tough.

Sthrasher38 - 16-5-2008 at 08:27 AM

Bump! Anyone got a harness to pass around?

domdino - 16-5-2008 at 08:59 AM

I might pass around my MBS pro 90 in a bit as i might not get much use out of it here in new york for the moment...

BeamerBob - 19-5-2008 at 04:54 AM

the dirtsurfer is ok. Tough at first because it is different than anything you might've tried. You just have to go against your better judgement and make the leap of faith with your front foot. It'll work out once you get your front foot up there. Once you are rolling, it is a piece of cake. I still haven't tied it in with a kite, but hope to this week or next.

PHREERIDER - 19-5-2008 at 08:58 AM

Bob i have a XL cabrinah chest impact harness if your interested. mainly for the water but if you want to try it you are welcome.

BeamerBob - 19-5-2008 at 09:01 AM

I hope to hit the water someday but that might be too much since I am always kiting in the dry. I'll probably need some combination of a waist/seat harness for static and buggy flying. Thanks for the offer for sure.

PHREERIDER - 19-5-2008 at 09:33 AM

it is kinda bulky, the back section would not fit into a buggy, a seat harness is the way to go. i made a waist harness from an old weight lifting belt and 2" strapping. simple effective and i already had the material.... fun recycled.

Sthrasher38 - 19-5-2008 at 10:16 AM

Bob, Quiver is looking good. What prompted you to go with the Crossfire 2? Let us know how it goes. Have you flown one yet?

BeamerBob - 19-5-2008 at 10:52 AM

Airhunter wanted my Crossfire and the II's were coming available. It promises to be a great kite. The veracity of the Crossfire with the ability to turn down the lift is really appealing. They have worked on this kite for over 7 months after we flew a very nice prototype last September at Jekyll Island. It has to be above 99% where you just have to say "time to go to market". The truth will tell after the reviews start coming in. I'm one of 3 on PKF (dozens more probably) that I know of receiving theirs this week so the discussions will be hot in the next few weeks. I hope to get a buggy by fall and with my light winds I get around here, an 8 or 9m might be in order if this kite is the real deal.

BeamerBob - 19-5-2008 at 11:12 AM

Angus will try one relative to his 4.9 reactor and I will be comparing more to my Crossfire. In fact, Airhunter and I will probably both fly together this weekend if the wind will blow. Then we can have his perspective as well.

DAKITEZ - 19-5-2008 at 07:58 PM

Sthrasher the only demo you need right now is some playstation games to keep you busy :lol:

BeamerBob - 20-5-2008 at 02:52 AM

Oh man, that's just cruel! :flaming: You guys at least need to take him out to let him watch you flying. That has to be better than sitting inside watching the trees move around.

Sthrasher38 - 20-5-2008 at 08:04 AM

No S@#t! Thanks Bob. I work alot. I even do as much side work as I can and this sitting home all day crap is killing me! It has been 14 day's And that is under half the time I have to heal.It feels like a year. I don't know what I am going to do. I am going crazy! I am not really a gamer and you can only watch so much tv. The wind is blowing today and tomorrow again I am about to freak out. I can hobble around a little but when I do the pain and swelling kicks in. so I end up back on the couch or bed with the foot up. It is really getting to me I don't know how to deal with it. The pain I can deal with but the everyday do nothing I cant handle.:barf:

BeamerBob - 20-5-2008 at 08:09 AM

The boys need to just haul your butt out to fly kites and you guys can make fun of each other and have a good time. It would be good for you and give you something else to think about. I'll take pics of the CFII's first flight so you can feel like you were there. It is out for delivery today. :tumble: No chance for flight today. Good winds but Wexler is getting a haircut and then straight to a little league game. A little work at home and then it'll be dark. Possibly tomorrow after all this wind is gone. :flaming:

Sthrasher38 - 20-5-2008 at 08:15 AM

Thanks bob. and yes I do need to get out! Even if it is just to watch or help set up. Just thinking I would get to go makes me feel better. Tell wex to hit a homer for me And good luck on his game. I have a 11yr old that plays ball also I love to watch him play. He pitches, Catches and is shortstop. What position is wex?
