I was thinking of picking up a spine guard I was wondering if anybody had experience with them. Are they worth it and is it practical with a harness?

IDK if it would do much, but your best bet is probably an impact vest, the Ozone Ultralight glider's harness is like a climbing harness with shoulder
straps, to keep weight down, and I know alot of people use wakeboarding impact vests with them to give some padding. So look into an impact vest.

I just got a dakine impact vest/harness, and you may look into it. I havent used it for traction yet, as my wind died here in TX. But it appealed to
me as a multi-purpose piece. Good reviews out there, too. Mine is a dakine. I am 6ft, 190, and the large is real snug.

Mine's built into my SixSixOne pressure suit and I do feel it under the harness - it's not so bad that it bugs me though and it aids in keeping the
harness down on my waist a bit. What might be more of an issue is feeling it on your back sitting in a buggy but I'm sure you'd get used to it - I've
seen others riding with them on.
