Passenger seat?

tdmc96 - 15-6-2008 at 08:47 AM

I had a great day at the beach yesterday with my 10 year old daughter who is just starting out flying.;-)
She has flown my Symphony 2.2 with no problems and now has started flying my NPW 2.4 on 15 foot lines just to learn a little on 4 line flying.
She has mentioned she wants to try buggying herself but my PL XR+ Comp is a little to big for her.
I guess the question I am putting out is does anyone make a smaller buggy for kids?
Also...she was sitting on the back of my buggy while I was flying but the problem is the buggy is only made for one person.
Has anyone derived anything like a passenger seat for buggys or some sort of attachment that would bolt onto my buggy (not the tandom type ) that is not to hook a complete buggy upto it but just some sort of xtra wheels with a seat for passengers?

Thanks
K3

I think just a seat, and 2 wheels on the rear axle would work fine, as long as it would pivot. You could even make it with some 2X4's some plywood and wheelbarrow wheels. Make the NPW seat (2 pieces of ply, hinged together, and ropes to keep it in a seat shape, and it folds flat) And then make a T with 2X4's, and then get some threaded rod, and U-bolt it to the "rear axle" 2X4 and then throw on some wheelbarrow wheels from harbor freight, and shazam, instant no weld tandem seat! For like $50!
