These kites seem to have the hearts of a lot of PKF members and from what I can see they look really nice. Can you explain how it's worth the $$ to
buy 3 Flysurfers ~$1300 each compared to having a quiver done and good to go for ~$1300 total? I'm just curious what makes them so awesome. The funny
thing is I already kite-lust over these kites but i have never flown one and I don't know why I love them so much . How would a quiver mix of blades/crossfires compare to a 3 flysurfer quiver?

Blades and Crossfires are fixed bridle kites and not a exactly apples for apples.
To compare Flysurfers and say ...... Ozone's Depower brands is more even. Also more even in cost once the Neo is out !
What Flysurfer has that Ozone doesn't :
Water relaunch, pound rated break away tabs on the bridles, Blow out valves , Jet flaps, , That fancy material on the Silver Arrows and a LOT more.
Right down to the best back pack I have seen with a kite.
Quality you can see and feel. My 7m Pulse has range, feedback and response like no other kite I have flown. For me it feels like the perfect match !!!
I would trade all my other kites but that 7m will get worn out in my hands !!!

In my reply I compare the FS against LEI, as there is no point to compare against fixed bridles foils.
I dont know exactly what the flysurfers have but one thing I know now:
I sold my Pulse1 7m and P3 10m to buy inflatos. Now I am not sure why I did that. I have some regrets
I tought it would be safer on water and easier to relaunch, but nothing beats the Pulse for water relaunch.
I even find easier to water relaunch my SA2 15m than my Best Nemesis HP 12m. I just poll both rear lines, the kite backwards and I flip it.
As for the Best 12m, it kind of stick to the water and I have to pull very hard on one line. I am not sure it will work in deep water, may be it's me
and I need more practice.
The only advantage I find to inflatos, is the turning speed, and it eats gusts better. But with the Psycho4, that may be another story.
Anyway I am 90% of the time using my SA2 15m, so I wonder why do I have other kites, and now the more I think it about it, is I should stick with FS
So the P4 may be my next purchase. Saving $$$ again. My wife will not understand.
Yesterday, for a rare day, that my 15m was too much I was on the Best 12m. After a jump, I crashed the kite, it did reverse and I had to go to the
kite to undo that mess.
May be my old Psycho3 10m would not have done this. Anyway with a foil, when some bridles are mixed up, you can still fly back to the shore.
And the most important for my style of riding, I find that tubes don't pull much for their sizes. I am staring to realize that I like very much the
raw power of foils.

The cost difference between LEI's and Flysurfer seems a little overstated. I always read things about "3 kite quiver for the price of one FS". I
don't even think you could get 3 new BEST kites with one set of bar and lines for $1300. Maybe you could get a quiver of used BEST kites for that
price. And if you leave BEST out of the equation and talk North, Cabrinha or SS then you're easily looking at $1300 for ONE complete kite. The
prices are out on Cabrinha's new IDS kites and the 16m is over $2k .............yikes.
And like Bladerunner said, comparing a quiver of Blades or CF's to FS doesn't make any sense.

yes you're right
a Best nemesis HP 12m brand new is above 1300$
The only way is may be to get some clear-out deals from last year like Bularoos, but IMO they are not the most performance kites, but may suit some
flying styles like wave, winter, stability, But no way you can get 3 LEI with 3 bars for 1300$
in that way, FS is not more expensive than North, Cabrinha, or top brand LEI kites

You know what.......I've actually got to eat my words. I just found this link for three LF C kites for about $1300. You could get a 7m, 9m, and 12m
for $1350! For a lighter rider that would indeed be a full quiver. Of course these are 2007 models and probably soon to be "2 years old" but are
still brand new and complete.
