Scudley - 11-7-2008 at 09:46 AM

Sky Country has put up the RaCer page. I am just waiting for prices. The Racer has an aspect ratio of 7:1 and 57 cells! Available in 7 8.5 and 10 m sizes.
Check it out at

Hoping to get mine soon.

wow, look at the tiny intakes on that thing, bet it's a lot of work to fly it.

Interesting that they would come out with such large sizes and no small ones ?

Looks like it will be a tricky kite to fly ? Can't wait to give it a try ! Is S.C. sending some over for us to try ? :singing:

I bet they go upwind like crazy :wink2: :wink2:

Sky Country is a pretty new brand. We are fortunate to have a full set of the " Reflex's " around and everyone who flies them likes them. VERY WELL MADE ! Unique materials and the BEST mesh cover on the inlets that I have ever seen.

Look at all those tiny cells, I bet it takes a lot of work to sew it. I sure want to find out how much work it is to fly.
They feel that if these got any smaller they would keep trying to turn inside out.
Tonya is try to get one ASAP.
I am hoping to bring my kites down to SOBB. I really want to see how they fly in a big space. Garry Point never gives you a long enough tack to finish accelerating before you have to start slowing down.

Comparing Peter Lynn arcs to a fixed bridle isn't right. Like comparing apples and arcs ? They are completely different animals !

Ya may be right AJ, have to look it up now cuz I can't remember. Do you know what the A/R of the F-Arc was?

Bladerunner:
Yea, I realize they are two totally different designs but the original post was about A/R and it just sparked a memory on the A/R of the PL's.

Bladerunner - 11-7-2008 at 04:33 PM

I'm not sure the aspect on the F-arc. I had one and it was this crazy yellow ribbon ( often bow tie ) . Very long and VERY narrow !!! Without a doubt the highest aspect ratio I have ever seen !
