Id really like to meet up with someone and check it out. Id like to get some ins and outs before I go and pay for some lessons that way I have some
knowledge going in to it.

I just took lessons down in Hatteras last week. I tried to go out for my first time in the Tidewater area the same day you and Silvereaglekiter where
at First Landing. I rigged everything at East Beach, got out in the water, dove the kite, and quickly realized that I should have rigged a bigger
kite...part of the learning curve I guess.
Being a beginner I'm not someone who can tell you much other than it's one of the coolest things I've ever done. If you are gonna give it a go
definitely take lessons. It's not something you want to try to learn on your own. Already knowing how to fly a kite is a huge benefit when it comes
to kiteboarding. They say that it's 80% flying the kite and 20% riding the board, and from what little I've done I'd have to agree.
Start stashing some money away...it ain't cheap. LOL.

by boat-I need to get a water kite, Ive got an ozone fury 3m now. Good starter kite. I keep it on the boat when out with the family.
Im thinking about buying a 9M and a board...

Ive heard that from others. Ill go down to nagshead KHK has a 6 hour / two lessons for 200.00.
