I got my HQ TSR 3.6 in April. Got my kitesurfing kites about a month ago and was fine with just those until I flew Donny's Rage.

I can't answer that question YET for you as I just ordered some blades today and we have been waiting patiently for a haka. But I think the haka is going to compare to the blade if you had to pick one.

If you want a blade why not just buy a blade ?

I'm not sure what I want yet. But I figured since the Blade has such a name for itself that other kite companies would make something to compete with it.

Funny that you should ask me. I was thinking if I buy a new kite that I'd get it from you. I was on your website earlier today and didn't see a Flexi tab on the left side so I was wondering about Ozones. Of course, now that I looked at it again I see the Flexi coming soon RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE. No surprise there though...I've looked for my car keys when they were in my hand.

Right before you where going kiteing I bet, kites on the mind... How we all think the same...
The Blade IV and HAKA should fall in the same category of kite styles... Freestyle/Jumping kites, and I bet you could get a great argument going on weather they compare to one another...:D
Dakitez is right we're waiting on a HAKA and should see some Blade IV's soon, so we should be able to give a fair unbiased comparison soon... add the Crossfire II in that category also... we got those already and I like them, nice kite...

furbowski - 31-7-2008 at 11:55 PM

haven't been on the UK site racekites for awhile, but I read the $h@t outta that forum before they had their big crash last spring, and the consensus there was that the Haka didn't measure up to the blade.

be looking forwards to dakitez's impressions, me.

awindofchange - 1-8-2008 at 12:11 PM

Right now the Haka is only available in the 3m and 5m sizes. The Haka would be the kite most comparable to the Blade. It is designed mainly for ground boarding with a ton of grunt and big lift.

Ozone is the leader in depowerable kites such as the Access and Frenzy. Because of this they have not really focused on a direct competition to the Blade as their depowerable kites have better lift / float than the Blade and are generally preferred by ground boarding riders.

We have flown and sold the Haka for nearly two years now and the kite is awesome.

USA_Eli_A - 2-8-2008 at 10:03 AM

I'll second that. I just took in my 5m Haka (orange black and grey)....I use it to jump a Libre Hard Core Bigfoot buggy....

It rips on my KGB also.....

my favorite Haka is the 9m....favorite Manta II is the 12m....fave access the 8m.....fave frenzy the 13m....
