Any belgium kiters over here ? i look for someone who can teach me some stuff at our beach flexiblade - 10-8-2008 at 09:19 PM
I haven't seen anyone on the forum here from Belgium - if you look over at racekites forum (mostly British) there may be a few people from Belgium -
If you're looking for some input - info on kiting just post a thread and the good people here will help you on your way. I know it's not as good as
talking to someone in person and actually getting some first hand experience, but until you can find someone to be your kite guru we can act as a
surrogate for you.Foca - 11-8-2008 at 09:23 AM
Hehe yea, to bad
but this forum is a great help already, verry nice community
i'm ashamed for my worse english, that's the only disadvantage.flexiblade - 11-8-2008 at 08:57 PM
As long as you get your idea across it's not a problem. What exactly are you looking to get info on?Foca - 12-8-2008 at 01:13 AM
i'm verry new to the kite "part", my pansh Ace 5 arrived today at home, but in future I would like to start kitesurfing as well, but how can i know
what board and kite is perfect for me? In belgium there aren't kiteschools, and kiting is exclusive and rare... I suggest i should learn flying a kite
at land first, if i control the land part i should watch "how-to" learn kitesurfing...flexiblade - 13-8-2008 at 11:04 PM
I don't kitesurf but having spoken to many people that do, and they all say the same thing when it comes to kitesurfing: Learning from a properly
trained instructor speeds the process along much quicker and safer. That's why I stick to buggies - you can teach yourself to do it in a short time
when you know your limits and are willing to listen to peoples advice. What kind of winds are in your area - near a beach? That 5m Ace will do great
in 8 - 16mph winds. If you haven't flown it much stay in the lighter winds till you know how its going to pull consistently in 8 -12mph winds before
jumping into larger winds (4mph in wind speed makes a big difference) and never take that thing out in high winds over 17mph unless you have really
good insurance.Ruudje - 14-8-2008 at 01:13 PM
