Shipping a kite "??"

dgkid78 - 2-8-2008 at 12:57 PM

I am thinking about selling off my crossfire 2.4 and i just want to get all my ducks in a row here, since i never actually shipped something before. Is UPS what everyone uses mostly to ship? or is there another way to go. It's a small kite and bag so i am not thinking it will be too expensive. right? any suggestions appreciated thanks

I use UPS exclusively but that's just because it's convenient for me. I haven't had a problem with them yet and I've been using them for a few years. Shouldn't cost you more than $15 I would think.

Yep, quite a few ways - UPS, Fedex, USPS. I've had no problems with either. I use mostly USPS because it's the cheapest. But not too found of their online tracking, however.

I use usps and have had no problems. The cheapest way will probably be a flat rate box $9.30 unless the person is very close to you. Its tight but it will fit
Usps is cheaper for me and they supply boxes for free. Thats what brown can do for me .... boxes.

HIJACK ALERT! HIJACK ALERT!

I'm thinking about unloading a kite or two as well and had a quick Paypal question. Does anyone know if I can recieve a Paypal payment without a checking account connected to my account? I just fund my Paypal with a credit card because I've never sold anything and the CC feels like it adds more protection. Anyone know?:puzzled:

HIJACK OVER!;-)

LOL actually that was my next question....I don't think it was a hijack at all:karate:

I was also going to recommend the $9 flat rate priority box. I understand you can recieve a paypal payment into your account but you will have to spend the money back via paypal. You won't have a way to get the cash back out.

Thanks BB....I don't think it will be an issue about the money staying in my Paypal. It will keep me from spending money on nonsense other than important things like Kites and Accesories!!!! WOOOHOOOOOOOO I need to save for some gear...such a shame kiting for almost a year and such a tiny quiver. I hate these 5-10mph wind summer days
