Dunno if any wants to demo this too. its a bit small for our local use.

csa_deadon - 4-8-2008 at 08:58 PM

Would love to demo the Yeti in the varying winds on the Oregon coast. There is a small group here in Newport that would give direct feedback for ya too.

macboy - 4-8-2008 at 10:23 PM

If you think it'll make it up to Canada let me know - I can pay the postage differential to give it a whirl.

beachrights - 5-8-2008 at 04:51 AM

Looking at the site I would love to try this kite! They might be onto the next great thing by the description of the braking description. It describes it as a depower plus removal of D lines is really something I must try out! Let me know what I need to do on my end and thanks for the offer!

Bladerunner - 5-8-2008 at 10:25 AM

Ummmm ,

I'ld love to take it out for a spin before it hits the road !!!!! :spin:
Please get ahold of me . I can pick it up.

macboy - 5-8-2008 at 10:29 AM

Oh! It IS in Canada! That NEVER happens ; ) I can be the one to send it stateside if you like - I can write off the postage : )

ripsessionkites - 5-8-2008 at 11:59 AM

SCREWYFITS - 5-8-2008 at 06:42 PM

Add me please... by the time it reaches me I'll have time for it...

csa_deadon - 5-8-2008 at 07:36 PM

To start in Canada just makes toooo much sense. :bisou:
Waiting patiently for the kite to get the oky doky from the boarder patrol. :megan:

ripsessionkites - 5-8-2008 at 08:02 PM

BladeR ... did you want it for SOBB as well?

when you're done we'll send it off to the east of us.

macboy - 5-8-2008 at 10:15 PM

hehehehe..."east".

Bladerunner - 11-8-2008 at 09:19 AM

I didn't get out with the Yeti yet but I like what I see.

I was thinking that maybe I should hold on to this kite and take it to SOBB as well ? That wouldn't get it on the road to Macboy until Sept. 3 or 4 . It would allow anyone at SOBB who choses to give it a go !
If Edmonton is lucky, maybe Macboy can take it snow kiting

What do you think Rip' ?

If you can't get off work I can take some other loaners down to SOBB for you as well ?

macboy - 11-8-2008 at 09:24 AM

Snow in September? You'd call that lucky? :singing:

No rush on my end. SOBB would surely be good to get more hands on it.

I'd love to give it a try at SOBB if you bring it down

ripsessionkites - 11-8-2008 at 12:57 PM

bring it down to SOBB if Macboy can wait. the more that can try it the better Mr.kitesuf could get some more feedback good or bad. Input is the key =)

thx for taking down the Yeti ... i'll be passing you the Firewall 3m and 8m as well. you might want to meet up with Evotz (Ken Eckland)

i guess no takers on my XXtreme ApeXX ... oh well. i'll sit on it in my living room day dreaming (riding with Jon / Eli / Jim / Stacey, and gang) and the fun everyone is having at SOBB.

Bladerunner - 11-8-2008 at 01:09 PM

Yes, it's a pitty I won't have room for the Apex. I'll be happy to take any kites you want to send down though !

If folks want to borrow them I'll be the nutter on the Coyote rollerblades. Stop by and grab one !!!

macboy - 11-8-2008 at 01:25 PM

You be sure to represent those Coyotes well BR! (Man I wish I could come....)

ripsessionkites - 11-8-2008 at 01:55 PM

yeah, ride those blades! have fun.

did you get enough stickers when you came by? I have some libre and kbss stickers too.

speleopower - 11-8-2008 at 04:10 PM

Is there still time and space availible to get on the Pass the Yeti program????

Wind has been really bad here lately. Or I've just been otherwise occupied when the wind blows.

Scott

Bladerunner - 11-8-2008 at 04:49 PM

YUP !

I want to ride the "dog's" for as long as I'm young enough to take the licks !

Plenty of time to relax in the Apexx Extreme Lounger when I get older :smug:

You know the sticker I'm after ! Red Bull Baby ! Just like yours

We have been tinkering with the Yeti.:ticking:
I have learned that I don't know diddly about how to adjust a bridle. :duh:
I have tried it on every knot setting possible and the general feeling of those few who know depower foils around here is it is a bit of a dud :puzzled:
Rip' has left this kite with me to self teach about bridle adjustment  It clearly needs one. :(
Like the rest of the Mr. Kitesurf line this kite looks pretty well made but so far not been able to win us over. I know this kite is capable of flying a whole lot better than we have it ! I think there is a 10 and 14 on the way ? If I don't manage to get this one to fly proper before the others come in I think Rip' may still send a 10 around for snow kite season?
Sorry for the delay !

macboy - 12-9-2008 at 07:10 PM

Better you tinkerin' than us ; )

i'm not a depower bridle expert, and i dont want to spend the time fixing a product that should come from the factory / manufacture perfect, only having to adjust my flying lines only.
i feel consumers / fliers deserve a product that they can fly out of the bag without having to research bridle lengths, adjustments.
the bigger sizes are coming, and lets see what they have in store for us.
so far Mr.Kitesurf Depower is low on my books, but the Firewall is o-k-a-y for the price and not having to adjust stuff, but the logo turns me off big time.

*back to adjusting my racekites for max performance*

barnes - 28-9-2008 at 08:05 PM

Can I still get added to the list? After the Firewall, I want to give the depower Mr. Kitesurf a go...and who knows, by the time I get it, hopefully there will be snow!

NPWfever - 28-9-2008 at 08:15 PM

I may want to do this as well....I'm bouncing back and forth between the Blaze II, and dropping some extra cash on this. Is it lifty?

Thanks,
NPW

I think this "Pass the" has been postponed for a better kite, no?

revpaul - 28-9-2008 at 09:45 PM

let me know when u get a demo in macb. that Yeti looks pretty nice and the bar system looks a lot like my old Ozone frenzy.
Paul:piggy:

Bladerunner - 29-9-2008 at 06:33 PM

I presently have the Yeti.
We have decided it's not flying right. I am going to make a side project of re-working the bridle. We won't be passing it on unless I can figure out why it flies so bad. This will be my introduction in to bridle adjustment so will be a learning experience . I think Ripsession is a bit put off that it should need tinkering so this model may not get His go ahead. :dunno:

It is a shame because the kite isn't poorly made !

ripsessionkites - 30-9-2008 at 09:00 AM

you're call BR ... i've asked for the yeti bar, but havent gotten a reply from them yet. they sent the yeti with teh g-force bar (kitesurf).

still waiting for the g-force kites too and the bigger sizes.

ticker away. thank you.
