As far as sympathy goes He gets none from me, however, I
truely hope that he is ok.
The other thing is this, and we are all guilty of it at one time or another in our kiting experience.
"I wonder what it would be like to fly {insert kite name here}
in this kind of wind?"
The only thing is this goof ball actually did it.clintopher - 19-8-2008 at 05:38 PM
Certainly I don't wish any harm on him but he's got to be related to the guy who was pruning his tree and was standing on the wrong side of the
chainsaw when he cut the limb.beachrights - 19-8-2008 at 05:49 PM
Change heading of these posts to "Dude is an fill in word here" Politically correct or not- that was just plain stupid to be out in those conditions!
I would not put my Profoil 1.0m in the air in those conditions!! At first I thought it was photoshopped- no one could fly at that angle! Guess I was
wrong.WELDNGOD - 19-8-2008 at 06:12 PM
Look around in the vid. What would tell you this is THE spot to fly? poles, people, vehicles, boardwalk, people, tent lookin things, jeez what a bunch of
morons( he had plenty of company) on the beach.
I give props to the Cameraman though for not droppin the shot, freakin wonderful job!.(i,m thinkin he knew the s#@% was gonna hit the fan sooner or
later)SCREWYFITS - 19-8-2008 at 10:22 PM
He must be up for nomination for a Darwin award... De-Dah-Dee
Ever think of letting go...
If I fly in higher winds than I'm comfy with I'm so close to letting go at a moments notice...
If it wasn't filmed for the news and the way it is, I'd guess that its fake...
Edited...

I understand now, after looking at the other video (much clearer) he was strapped in... hard to see in this version...
It's easy to Monday quarterback, but I'm unsure I'd have been in these conditions with a storm warning...
Not especially good for our sport, but remember accidents do happen...Hardrock - 21-8-2008 at 11:00 AM
I didn't and now can't see this vid but it must be the same one on the weather channel.
