mtbz.com feedback - have any?

Anyone ever buy from mtbz.com and care to offer any feedback (pos or negative). I'm looking at landboards for my kids and debating whether to order direct from GI or get a bit of a break on shipping and price from mtbz (who I've never bought from).

there was a post here not to long ago about this company. I don't know how it concluded, but the guy paied them, but then he couldn't contact them. Like I said I don't know if it ended well or not

I thought I recalled reading that but couldn't find the post. If anyone else has any details, please let me know.

I bought mine from Desert Drew dot com; he is a good guy, very helpful and great prices.

I was the one who tried to buy from them recently. the only reason it ended well is because i spent many man hours slogging through phone directories, domain registers etc. they were legit at some point. i don't feel they are now. when i finally got ahold of ivan it was through a totally unrelated nearly unlisted email address ivan@freeformed.com he claimed the business was moving and servers weren't taking orders. i did get a refund but only after i did all the footwork called people that had adds on his site daily and threatened legal action. i'll be posting all the contact info after i organize it. the main reason i tracked him down was web domain registration and he took out a $500,000 loan from a bank with it's hq in my state in 2005 for mtbz.com

How did you ever find that site :puzzled:

Been out at all? Its been sooo long for me - spent most of the summer teaching my kids to fly foils and ride my mountain board on a small hill and while I bull them on a kite bar.

I scoured the web for good deals and he had the best price. He used to carry a lot of kites (flysurfers, PL, etc) but has cut down and only sells the popular brands -- HQ, PL, etc.

I spoke to him a lot before and after I bought my board; he helped me with setup, practice and such. His advice was very helpful since I taught myself how to landboard downhill with no previous boarding experience (only roller blades). He is a landboarder and was getting into kitesurfing last time I spoke to him.
