Okay, so I feel like I better just make a decision here and be done with it. Getting a used bug from the US is turning out to be quite a frustrating
experience for me (and surely for the other party just the same). Assuming either of these are viable in-budget options without showing the pricing
what should a guy do?
PL Comp XR+ w/ extra wide wheel set, brand new
OR
PL Monster used for about $200 more
Thanks in advance for your feedback. I'm leaning towards helping out the local guy by buying new but really don't want to miss out on what seems like
a great deal on a great buggy (the Monster). Kent, if you see this thread U2U me and let me know if the hassle just isn't worth it on your end.Bladerunner - 23-8-2008 at 06:36 PM
Like I suggested in the begining, it would help to know what you are going to use it for.
The Comp XR's get all the use around here. Folks with larger full race buggies tend to only use them on trips or the odd day at Mud Bay. We just don't
have the space in our parks.
Storage and transport is so much easier with the smaller buggy as well.kitedemon - 23-8-2008 at 08:09 PM
I own a xr+ I am a big guy 6'4" and 220 in less than a year it had a 2 inch deflection in the rear axle. This causes the wheels to bow out and then
more stability troubles. I had it straightened but that did not hold well. I'd stay away from the xr+ if you are a big person, a smaller lighter
person may get a longer use from it maybe. I haven't used a 'monster' I have not even seen one. Here there is a PL custom dune buggy which I think is
either the same or similar. I'd looked at it, but went for the Winddragon for a bit less cash (with shipping in).revpaul - 23-8-2008 at 10:18 PM
