I was recently flying at one of my local fields and a guy walks up saying he is with the local weekly paper and can he ask me a few questions. He
said what I was doing looked so cool from the road he had to come find out what I was doing. I was flying my Crossfire II 5m and attempting to ride
the landboard. The wind was terribly gusty so it was either not giving me any thing to lean back against or jerking me 15 feet downwind of the board.
Then every 4-5 minutes, I'd get going and then it would just seem easy. Anyway, he recorded our conversation and still messed up a detail or two but
a week later, I'm in the paper with what I thought was some good press for the sport. See what you think.

I wish people got to see your story on the news instead of Superman Kevin from FL...
Your comments on Florida were spoken like a champ!
Congrats and

I plugged HQ and Coastal Wind Sports, but that didn't make the press. Safety was a large topic of discussion that day due to the Florida incident. I
had taken a break to talk to him for a minute and had my helmet unbuckled. He suggested a picture setting and I told him no pics with my helmet
unstrapped. I didn't want to make anyone feel justified in not strapping their helmet like so many of the skaters in skateparks required to wear
helmets do.

Nice report & information! Hopefully, everyone that reads that article will find we're not all as wreckless as the guy from FL. With what was said
in the article it sounds like you gave him a great description of what power kiting is and that wind is to respected if you want to get into kiting.
Again, kudos for making the paper and giving a good impression to readers of the sport.
