Some of your posts suggest not using aluminium, as it bends. I agree
While looking about for a steel supplier a friend suggested using Dural (Duraluminum) for the rails.
aparently it is lighter (you have mentioned that weight is an advantage with doomwheel skates), and tougher than carbon steel.
Whadda ya think?
