Here's a new twist on the curse of the new kite. Everybody knows that ya' get a new kite ,then you don't get any decent wind for a while.
Well my new kite arrived Friday and the wind has been blowin like mad for 5 days straight and forcasted to get ever higher until Friday. You would
think that was great except that the wind has caused tidal flooding at my fly beach, in fact there is NO beach. :o Low tide looks like high tide. So I
got no where to fly my new kite I have tried a few inland spots, but there was
just on-off ,gusty, turbulent wind at best.
Anybody else have the "New Kite Curse"?
It's killin me! 15-25 NE so far for 5 days!
I gotta make some short lines ( 5M ?) and take my landboard out to a parking lot or something

I got a new to me 10m venom, the day before ike. Now our bays and beach is off limits for quite awhile. I had to get out of town this weekend and went
to corpus christi. Had great wind all day sunday. 15-25 sideshore. I hooked up the 35m lineset to 10m venom and was fully loaded most of the time. I
would switch back and forth with the 15m phantom all day. I got a solid 6 hrs iof riding the waves................aj

I'm not sure what the tide situation is, but you should check out the Ocean View beaches after work. NE puts it mostly onshore and they're bigger
beaches than the spot in Hampton.
