GOOD deal should work just as long as your comfy in it.

I use a dakine Tabu waist Harness. A seat isn't better than a waist harness or vice versa. each have there pros and cons it all depends on YOU and
how comfortable it is for you. I prefer waist, I like my junk on the loose and i find it more comfortable. Others prefer seat cause the waist
harness tends to ride up if not tight enough. the spreader bar is also a little lower on the seat harness. I prefer it higher . i tend to balance
better. Also on the waist harness, i read its really ideal if your torso is "V" shaped and won't ride up as much. Pfftttttt Mine still rides up and I got an Xsmall and that puppy is on soo tight i can barely
bend over to pick up my bar. but 1hr into my session I gotta tighten up again. Its not really an issue. I don't think it's overused. I bought it early
this year. I also went with a waist cause it looks a little easier to try to practice some freestyle with it rather than a seat harness. I think it
would be more difficult. Hope this helps and anyone correct me if i messed up any info:piggy:
PS : you should really practice with the kites first before you put the board and kite together. unless you meant your only 2 weeks into

Be sure that price includes a " spreader bar " .
It is the bar on the front that you hook your strop ( line between your handle ) into. You need one. It's NOT shown in the picture !
If it's not then that is only an O.K. price .
Harnesses are very personal. There isn't one that is better than the other. More what works for you.
The only harness I have never heard a single complaint from anybody about is the Mystic Warrior. It's spendy though !

i use this harness, its works well with small framed bodies, however if you find thats its a bit tight ... Big J suggested that you could cut of the
back pad inside the harness. :D
see if they can add a spreader bar pad as well ... extra comfort.
i'm sure there is a windsurf / kiteboard shop in your area, try before you buy. most shops rig up a pull rope to let you know what it might feel when
youre being pulled from a kite.

Go with a seat harnes and make sure you get a long spreader bar. I prefer the Dakine XT Seat. It keeps the hook down low on your center of gravity
i.e. hip area. I find it easier to rotate around my CG when doing flips and other tricks. Plus with a low hook height you can put on a longer strop
line.
But like what has been said already what works for me in a harness might not and probably doesn't work for the next person.
I have owned at least a dozen or more harnesses over the past 20 years of windsurfing and kitesurfing to have found my preference.
See ya and good luck-Scott
