romano kite buggy

zztopfugate - 9-10-2008 at 09:22 PM

anyone know anything about the romano kite buggy as seen on ebay? would like to know what to expect.

BeamerBob - 10-10-2008 at 03:28 AM

It is a knockoff of the Kite Trike. This guy buys other companies products then get them duplicated in China and sells them on ebay. He has no scruples and actually told me that HQ must have copied his design to make their montana. He copied a Montana I that he bought from a PKF user and even used the fonts and graphics from the Montana III. Then had the audacity to use HQ stock photos in his ebay auction. Don't feed this guy.

Bladerunner - 10-10-2008 at 07:25 AM

AVOID THIS SELLER :piggy:

He is a knock off artist and DOES NOT stand behind His Junk :megan:

It's a Kite Trike with a Fender

I sent Him a note pointing out it doesn't make His product look any better when He uses a set of Libre buggies in his Promo' Pic's. That was long ago, He doesn't care

Search Kite trike or Rockville buggy on here for info on the potential flaws !

Any one else notice He changed EBAY accounts from usamarket_4321 to jonesband1998 This dude will never quit:mad:

BeamerBob - 10-10-2008 at 08:45 AM

I've tried to shame him from several different angles. It's like trying to have a conversation with a droid. Nothing I'm saying will help him take money from someone. It's a shame there are bottom feeding mouth breathers like this guy. Without this world market and anonymous dealings, this guy would get run out of whatever town he was working at the time. Or he would be taken out back and taught some manners.

thanks for the honest replys, I have also seen his [montana] kite. ha ha like the old saying, if it looks to good to be true, it is too good to be true... will save more money on name brand kites and buggys, thanks again, philip

Something must be in the air:lol:

BeamerBob - 20-1-2009 at 10:29 AM

His business is probably slower than we are seeing selling REAL kites and equipment. Desperation brought him out from under his rock.

Bladerunner - 20-1-2009 at 10:46 AM

You keep saying "You can't trust this site" ?
Can't trust it for what ?
Personally I don't trust ANYTHING I read on the internet.
Just where did you here that this site is under investigation ?
For what, discussing the pro's and con's of a product ?

CRAZY DAYS when the wind doesn't blow

WELDNGOD - 20-1-2009 at 03:47 PM

That is laughable, HAHAHAHAHA!. Here in the US ,we got this piece of paper that says I can have an opinion and let other people know it.
If I see a POS buggy , I can say " look at that crappy lookin buggy" or " my second grader can weld better than that".
It's called "networking" , people are connected now. They don't have to get ripped off ,they can "check it out" . Before some turd, suckers em' outta their hard earned cash.
And when did this site allow advertising of any kind? I highly doubt that they are out to get you . But just in case , keep the blinds closed and make lots of right hand turns (in case they are following you):ninja:
Good luck w/ that "investigation" . :moon:

There is also this thing called copyright piracy , also a felony.
) I hate it when I have to use the "F" word"(

zztopfugate - 20-1-2009 at 11:31 PM

was not trying to start a fuss, or run down anyones product just wanting to know best way to spend my hard earned money by asking for opinions [i'm fairly new to kiting ]

furbowski - 21-1-2009 at 12:00 AM

hiya...

just checked your posts... sorry about the fuss, this guy discussed in this thread has been pretty consistently screwing people for a while.

you'll find that there's a lot of advice to be had on this forum. I'm bored and haven't been abl to fly kites for a while, I post a lot as a consequence and don't really have much in the way of skills and experience.

but if you were to post with your weight, your winds, your kites, your weight, and what you want to do with your kiting (static / buggy / board / water / snow / freestyle / cruise / whatever ) you'll get some fine advice from folks on the forum with the skills and the experience to give you informed opinions...

again, sorry for the fuss.

:embarrased:

Asking questions is exactly what this site is for. There is a wealth of info here. No one wants to see anyone get taken to the cleaner cause they didn't ask. If you watch and wait you will find a quality buggy for little more money than his knock off. That is my experience.

Bladerunner - 21-1-2009 at 09:36 AM

Welcome ZZ,

Keep an eye on this site for good deals on used buggies at about the same price as a "Romano" designed buggy.

People will keep you on track as far as good buys go, if you ask the right questions.

WELDNGOD - 21-1-2009 at 07:41 PM

Oh yeah , hi ZZ. welcome to our forum. You can trust most of us,contrary to unpopular belief. But if you get two or three different people tellin you the same thing , you should pretty much trust the collective of us.And if we know of highly suspect sellers of kiting gear, we will discuss it.

BeamerBob - 4-10-2011 at 05:02 PM

Jonesy is video_1274 now. He seems to be changing his id every few months now. He can run, but he can't hide from the truth. Same junk buggy, same fake fabricated forum to try to add legitimacy. I love the part about "Don't leave bad feedback so any warranty claims can be handled quickly." Which means, if you leave bad feedback don't count on any warranty claims. His buggy is now called the Glidemastor GTX-350

shehatesmyhobbies - 4-10-2011 at 05:42 PM

I think he actually has like three or four different accounts. I went playing on flea bay one day and found four different kite items with odd seller names. Checked all of their "other items" and they were all the same.

He is such a sly dog! Like we were born yesterday! Well I guess some of us were!

Probably not allowed but you would get more results from text. For example, in your quiver in beige text Jonesband video_1274 etc. so it isn't visible and doesn't detract but still is there and would show up on a google search.

Really like that idea.
