The tides are high
The wind is light
I've not been ATB riding in about 2 months.....
I'm looking forward to spring ATB weather.

I hear ya. Ground boarding has been a real disappointment for me because it is so impossible to get favorable conditions. First the beaches were jam
packed with people all summer. Now they are mostly empty and I'm plagued by......
The soft sand is the biggest disappointment for me. I've found that at Hampton Beach which is a nice long beach only 10 minutes away the sand is very
soft which makes boarding very difficult. It seems like the only place its hard enough is is right near the water when the tide is most of the way
out. The beach is already pretty narrow so this means that you basically need wind directly on or off shore to get any riding in. And its great when
you end up a little too far in from the shore and your tires start to sink and you get yarded over the board.
I think that I'm going to have to learn to kiteboard (on water) next year. It seems like the only way to get any sort of consistent riding.beachrights - 11-10-2008 at 02:40 PM

The beach here is wide but most of the sand is almost to soft for giant buggy tires.
We have strip of sand at low tide that is ridable but you can't really jump cause you'll land in the soft sand and wipe out.
Spring ATB weather is the best.
Luckily I got about 20 mintues of riding in yesterday. There was a lot of debris (seaweed) on the sand which made for a poor ride. I just packed up
and went home. Good thing I did because after I jumped in the pool and cleaned my gear off the wind kicked up and it started thunderstorming!!!!:o
