who makes FB kites with AoA adjustment?

revpaul - 12-10-2008 at 02:33 PM

on their medium-high aspect ratio kites.
I know of Flexi's Blurr (and Blade), PKD's Brooza II, and the Pansh Sprint. The first two kites's AoA adjustments are simple procedure's but not so for the Sprint. I have not looked real hard how to adjust AoA for Sprint, just read about the procedure. It seems complicated and is not advised. I usually keep the 5m and 7m Blurrs at knot 3 (one knot away from the kite).
I tried the 5m Pansh the other day, in low winds, and found it very heavy on the handles. Just pulled hard and was more work than fun to keep it flying. Granted I did not have enough wind and I am probably describing what a race kite behaves like in too low of wind. It just was a try out. The 5m and 7m Blurrs weren't pulling buggies any faster but they were not as heavy on handles. I would like to try the Pansh at same AoA as the Blurrs to get a better comparison and perhaps get some more use from it when winds are up.
I'd like to know who else makes FB kites with adjustable AoA.
Thanks,
Paul

I bought a AAA from flexifoil and installed it on my Rage 4.7 and it works a charm.
And I agree the sprint has alot of brute force, and I would like to find a way to add more speed to it.When ya find the right setting let me know.

Libre Bora kites have adjustable AOA. The how to do the adjustment is in the manual - available at www.libre.de/download/anleitungBoraeng_pdf.pdf

Sky Country Reflex have AoA. Very useful: if the wind goes up you can change the power of the kite so you do not have to change kites just AoA.
Much nicer than packing and dragging out a new kite.

everything is cool:ninja:
looking forward to hearing how things went. maybe a guy should spend a little time over at Pansh forum. they must have the Sprint figured out by now.
the advertised "adjustable bridle" was a big reason for me buying the Sprint. i assumed the adjustment(s) system/procedure was going to be as simple as most other manufacturer's. :puzzled:
maybe it's not that bad after all
