The wind gods chose me today!

I have not had a decent flying session since early summer [June?] Too many people on the beach, poor wind or no wind, a nasty back injury- you name it it was a monkey on my back!

Today the monkey was run over by my buggy!

Overcast, 59*, and no wind at my house- yup, looks like another shi#*y session! Low tide was at 4:45pm so at 3pm I threw the buggy on the roof and headed out to the beach. Got there- 1 car in the lot so getting a good parking spot was not a problem! Unpacked and walked over the dunes to see 3 kiteboarders setting up their 14-18 meter kites. Big kites means the wind must suck.

Something happened with the wind gods today- they smiled on me! I threw up my 4 meter and hopped on the buggy took 2 runs to find a sweet spot but all of a sudden I was cruisin! Each run I was going faster and faster- I kept looking at the other kiters and they had NO WIND, they couldn't even get their kites in the air and i was doing 180's power slides!

They finally gave up and packed it in while kept cruisin. I buggied for about 1.5 hours and when i decided I was done. When I got off the buggy and the wind just died and my kite deflated and dropped to the ground. It was calm as could be- very creepy:puzzled:

So why did I alone have wind today???

I think God loves to Buggy and has a special place for us in his heart!

Glad to hear you got some...sounds like you deserved it.

those Pansh Aces are something else.
i had 7m Blurr out yesterday (on two and three-AoA) and was hav'n no fun. putt..putt..putt:( set up 6m Ace and away i went, not like a rocket but decent enough considereing the wind was pretty lame. strange how them Aces pull like that.
