I read this or saw this somewhere (if I was here, sorry...just show me the thread so I can read up again)....anyway, it's been bouncing around in my
head and I figure I better have the discussion out lest I never stop the rolling thought.
So, do I understand this correctly? Somewhere I heard/saw that your bindings/straps should be loose enough that your feet slide easily in and out and
that you actually hold your foot in the strap by pivoting your foot, wedging it in between the two poles/ends of the strap. I ask b/c mine are pretty
much a tight fit straight up. Note this is likely very exaggerated - you surely won't be able to twist your foot THIS much, but kinda like:

I have the totally soft style bindings, I kinda wish I had the solid post style. =/
They seem like they would stay on your feet alot better....

I have rachet style bindings and can turn my feet about that much. I have the binding plates mounted as close together as they can go at the angle I
like and I crank the bindings down tight but no matter what, I can still kick out if I need to. The more I ride, the tighter I like my bindings but
no matter how tight I get them, they loose as you ride and shift your feet around so kicking out is never a problem.
