Your spot looks like it doesn't drain very well at low tide and you end up having to kite in quite a bit of water. I've got a spot close by that looks pretty similar. The beach gets huge but it just doesn't drain well so the water puddles all over the place. When I tried landboarding there I got absolutely covered in wet sand from the waist down. I had to wait for my jeans to dry out and then beat about a pound of sand off of them. Not to mention that I was pretty much soaked and freezing after only five minutes.

Do you have any suggestions for clothing, clean up, etc. for kiting in a place like that? I found it to be pretty miserable and I'm not real keen to go back out and get myself soaked and covered in sand again. Not to mention having to clean all the sand off of my board.

Also, great video. I'd love to get to that level some day.

the beach is not always like that. where i was boarding was above the high tide line and its been like that for a couple of days now. i think its because its been soooooooooooo cold over here lately that its just freezing at night then thawing out during the day.

anyway what i wear in these conditions are motorbike pants with a waterproof lining, but the most important bit is i wear neoprene socks. even when you get wet you stay warm. and i also take a change of clothes
as for cleaning your kit - just get the hosepipe out when you get home and give it a good blast, then a bit of wd40 on your bearings to stop them rusting. (you should do this anyway when flying at a beach)

being a leader in fender and splashgard technology for my buggy i have adapted it to my m b s comp 6 heel side wheels .its not pretty, but i got so wet one day i said that it.igot to do something. it screws into the brake hole trucks.

that just adds weight to the board. i prefare my boards to be as light as possible. i suppose if all you are doing is cruising then they will be ok but whats the fun in that!!!

I enjoy your videos but thought the same as others... Carl the Bullet gets really wet and must trash bearings all the time. Though if I could ride like that, I'd do the same.

Wow, that was high tide! Now I'm jealous.

Could you post a link to the pants you are talking about? Pants that would keep me dry and be somewhat easy to wash down afterwards would be great.

I'll check out some neoprene socks as well. My feet were soaking wet and freezing after about 5 minutes.

I'm surprised you use wd40 on your bearings. I've always found WD40 to be a sand magnet.

i bought mine from a local motorbike shop. they are called advanced experiance (silly name) the added advantage aswell is that they come with built in knee pads.

i usually change them every 2 months. i see bearings as the disposable part of the board and always have a few sets in the bag

yes, i have buckets of inline bearings and a growing bucket of races from atb. takem right to total failure. i think the wd 40 helps but won't spend the money on ceramic.
