It Clearly states here that this is a "Flysurfer"
it's obviously not

DAKITEZ - 19-11-2008 at 07:02 PM

look at the kite in the buggy and board pictures .... its going the wrong direction  What a joke !

kiteon - 19-11-2008 at 07:07 PM

is it just me or are they even flying the kite backwards with both the buggy and the board.
they may be able to get away with a down turn or a down wind run in the buggy picture and he has not made his turn, but in the boarding picture he is hallen the wrong way. no sign of rederecting, or power sliding.

 I didn't even catch that

SCREWYFITS - 19-11-2008 at 07:55 PM

C'mon give these guys a break they are expert pilots, they can't help they are flying a super imposed kite...:lol::lol:
these gotta be cool kites, just look at what the pro's can do...
sorry I'm in a silly mood...
bunch of scum bags, I agree... you probably can't get enough power to buggy or board so super impose is the only way to advertise...

burritobandit - 19-11-2008 at 08:27 PM

Those BN kites are complete garbage. I met a guy at the park who bought one because it was so cheap, and it barely flew. The lines were like rubberbands, and the kite flew worse than a plastic bag held up in the wind by a small child.

I wish I could comment on the auction telling people how horrible those kites are. Oh, and his price went UP.. He used to charge 40-60..

Those pics are quite hilarious though..

BeamerBob - 20-11-2008 at 04:51 AM

He could be sitting still in the buggy with not enough wind (or power), but not likely he would be powered up on the board with the kite going the wrong direction. Did he take flysurfer off the auction? I can't find it anywhere.

Baluk - 20-11-2008 at 05:15 AM

Ya. The Flysurfer portion is gone from the auction.

And I mean, we sorta already discussed this in another thread, it's entirely possible to fly he kites in the direction. i use it all the time to slow down for the transition.you can still get going in one direction for a while before you need to stop, with the kiteliek that.

Sandman - 20-11-2008 at 05:16 AM

Yep. He has removed the Flysurfer name from the listing. It was right there in the title. I hate ebay to start with, and guys like this freak make it even worse.

BeamerBob - 20-11-2008 at 07:32 AM

In the landboarding picture, if you look closely, the rider isn't using the provided handles. If that was the kite he was actually flying he had the lines hooked to the wrong sides of the kite. Which means, that wasn't even the kite flying. That guys kite was going the other way and after a little cut and paste, the cheapo kite looks to be getting the job done. Just another scumbag.

Baluk - 20-11-2008 at 07:35 AM

The handles are in the opposite direction, still flyable that way.

I'm definitely not saying that the ad isnt a rip off, lol, clearly put in with some editing. But it is possible to fly it that way. And yes, I did noticed he was fly FF handles atleast in the buggy picture !

WELDNGOD - 20-11-2008 at 08:22 AM

photoshop, all day long:ninja:

dylanj423 - 20-11-2008 at 09:20 AM

harness on the kgb... was definitely flyin a depower...

What a douche

bison - 20-11-2008 at 11:37 AM

The photo WAS manipulated. The same kite pic was used in all three instances.

I do graphics for a living, here's two minutes and a couple of google searches later.

if you want to bring up obvious photoshop errors then just look at the kite.

notice that the light hits it exactly the same way even though it is in different orientations for each picture.

also it looks like it would have to be on 10m or shorter lines to be that close to the buggy or landboarder. I was pretty upset to see this notify me when a flysurfer auction showed up....at least he took flysurfer out of the title. I think ebay actually tracks stuff like that. I got in trouble once for selling a rockshox bike fork on ebay and having a couple other brands in the title to help get hits.

WELDNGOD - 20-11-2008 at 04:24 PM

The only use for that kite is T.P. Toilet Paper or Target Practice! Here's just the ticket! Off topic, but bad a$$

Trying to find a kite on the internet that was shot from the proper angle, took the longest . Makes all the difference in the final outcome. I was a little surprised that it came out so good.

Off Topic is an understatement! Soon we will have the ability to kill with a thought. Totally redefines road rage, huh? ...a$$hole cut me off, I'll teach him!

Here's a thought experiment for all: Count up how many ways there are to kill someone (be creative), now count up the number of ways one may prevent someone from being killed? (Again, be creative) What is the higher number? Why?

acampbell - 30-12-2008 at 09:47 AM

Yeah it's a BS advt. but I fly my kites "backwards" all the time in a bug while on a downwind reach, flying it back up behind me keeping the lines tight for a new forward powerstroke
