I'm sure this has been discussed before. If there is a previous post on this topic, let me know and I will go there for info.
The tires on the MBS Comp 90 are 8 inches. They roll very well on the beach but not so well at the sod farm. It's difficult to overcome the initial
inertia on the grass.
Would there be a benefit to using a larger tire at the sod farm?
Had a decent day today. Wind was 14kts gusting to 21kts. The Scout was a bit snatchey but once moving, was productive. For about 10 minutes, the wind
was very smooth and I considered unpacking the 8m Neo. However, true to frontal wind form, the gust came back with a vengence. My son and I boarded
until well after a beautiful sunset.

Are the tired well pressured? I have 8" tires and am fine on all grass. Make sure they are pumped to the highest recommended pressure. about 50psi. It
makes a huge difference when riding.

All grass and fields are not equal. I have quite a hard time boarding on my local field because its kind of soggy. It's an athletic field, but just
a youth and practice field and it just isn't a nice firm surface and they don't keep the grass mowed as close as they would on a nicer athletic field.
I'm actually hoping that I'll have a better time now that the ground is about frozen.
I'm guessing that they don't mow the sod farm too short since they want nice healthy grass so that could be an issue.
In any case, I agree about pressurizing the tires. Definitely helps.

The tires are tight. Don't know the exact pressure but I'm sure there is not much room left for any more air. The sod farm I am on is not used
anymore. The grass is a bit high and is patchy from neglect. I thought that a larger sized tire might smooth it out a bit.

a larger diameter wheel will help. Not sure if it raises your platform too high. I posted a link and Bladerunner or Secondwind can chime in on larger
wheels, and adaptability to your board. As long as bearing and axle diameters are compatible it should work or just fly your

Thanks for the link. I surmised that a larger wheel might roll easier. A 10" would only raise the deck by 1", however, there's always the law of
un-intended consequences.
Our ability with the Neos isn't quite up to the winds that we've had recently. We had a wonderful day with both Neos while at the beach back in
October. Totally in control and scudding until the skin was worn off our heels. Since then, its either calm or 15 gusting to 24. I promised a
neophytes review of the kites but don't have enough time on them in quality wind to fairly comment. Perhaps at Folly?
