13m Venom inland/gusty

tridude - 25-11-2008 at 02:11 PM

Does it get any better for the gusties? 18 to 28 mph today, poor wind signature with trees, but the Venom delivered. It was my second flight, and man these things are a treat to fly. No issues on the land board controlling power and speed thru the bar. Full on power with the strap, never pulled it in other than launching. I even took a break and laid on my back for a couple mins why she just hovered overhead. Ive never auto zenithed in gusty conditions like today, but there she sat.......waiting. Folks, if you haven't tried an arc, you need too.

Oh......... forgot about you air time freaks...........static and landboard jumps hit a couple of 10 footers easy with a nice float down..................... I actually waited for the gusts flying static then sent it hard on a pendilum jump. Ive never "waited" for gusts to jump...........kites are so stable you can do that.

yeah, I have to say auto zenith rocks, the kise is amazingly stable, I dont even know how to describe its stability. I have venom 10 and I love it :)

P.S. Tridude, I think you were right, I think I will end up buying synergy 15 instead of pulse 12, if it covers the same wind range.

So Tridude, you are maybe starting to think you might like these ARCs a little? There's a Bularoo for sale on Craigslist I hear. :saint:

I can only tell you what Ive heard on the power of the Synergy but Powerzone would know for sure Im thinking. If you go for the 15m Syn, you wont have any problems selling that Pulse 2. Nice to hear youre enjoying the Venom.............

Nice kites Bob but Ill pass..............your times coming in a couple weeks............

When you say it like that you diminish my confidence that I almost have my quiver the way I want it.

tridude - 26-11-2008 at 07:17 AM

not that I buggy but your quiver looks ideal but I do plan on taking a pic of you in the buggy with the Scorp or Venom. You can control the lift with kite/bar positions, and Im pretty sure I know what your reaction will be......................:o:thumbup:

Thats about what I expect to feel like. Try to bore me with that stuff about bar and kite postition to avoid lift. I'll be all ears. My inland conditions when not inadequate, are gusty. Who knows, with you watching for a deal on one, maybe one can find its way into the quiver. You seem adept in finding killer deals. If you run across another XXXL for under $60 let me know as well.
