Nicely done! Looks like a cool place to ride. Any access issues?

kiteon - 9-12-2008 at 09:04 PM

106 miles of white sandy beach, and you can drive on all of it(dont get stuck). 38 accesses to the beach. not a problem at all, dont hit the bird and bunny lover cages and you will never get bothered. other than the tourists:eekdrull:

Nice vid Kiteon...keep'em coming...

What a playground you guys have up there....I'm jealous!

I went to that link you provided in the other post...saw that it was about 12F at about 8pm....got me thinking...does the lake ice over and if so, loods like an awesome place to kite with an 'ice buggy'.

kiteon - 9-12-2008 at 10:14 PM

later this month and most of january. the lake freezes over. enough to drive on!!!

kiteon - 10-12-2008 at 12:31 PM

That is one BIG lake.

I gotta say that is some strange country out there when you look at it from the sky. All circles and squares and the roads are on a grid. Looks awfully funny to someone from up in the Northeast. All of our roads are squiggles. It must be really weird to drive in a straight line for a hundred miles or so. And mind numbingly boring. It must be hard not to drive 100 miles an hour.

little do you know... he BUGGIES next to the roads for 100 miles :bouncy::eekdrull:

stetson05 - 10-12-2008 at 01:21 PM

So what you aren't saying is you have this awesome playground, summer and winter. Oh and by the way there is campground with really good access to the area. I wonder what a flight into North Platte would cost. So are you back there in Nebraska full time?

I don't want to hijack but what happened to AIAK?:puzzled: I am really bummed it might not be open. It was were I got my first kites. You even let me try out your buggy with my 3.5 IMP, which I appreciated. I was looking forward to getting some lessons from you or Eli.:wee: If you don't mind telling. Again, sorry to hijack but I couldn't help myself

dont have to drive by the road. i made it once to the next town on my buggy and 12m manta. it took a while but it was quite the adventure. other than cliffs, fences and the ocasional power line, nothing for miles.

the speed limit all the way accross the state is 85 so you can go 90 and get away with it.
all that land is buggyable however i would like a biggfoot. the circles and squares are great but the gaps inbetween are not so much funn on my flexi buggy. the grass is a bit too tall
