Where to live during Jan and Feb 09?

Hey guys,
Wondering if anyone can offer any advice. I've basically got 2 months off till march severance pay after being "let go" so i wanna go somewhere warm and windy and kite my little heart out for a couple of months, wondering if anyone could offer any advice on where to be for a couple of months during this time of the year?

Needs to be (relatively) cheap, warm enough (60+) and nice kiting conditions preferably! :wee:

Any advice welcome, was considering corpus christi?

there are a lot of great spots in tx... your $ will go farther here, too.

Houston is big enough an area that you could eventually find a job, probably no matter what you do.

Corpus is good, but a little less liveable (in my opinion)

South Padre is probably a little better for kiting (from what i hear only- havent been there), but farther away from the rest of the world.

I picked Houston for me... for the reasons I mentioned above.

I imagine some other forum members will be by to chime in also.

I'd go to Mexico.

Foods cheap, hotels are cheap, beaches are beautiful, and depending on how far south ya go... nice and warm.

But Corpus is quite nice. Wife and I usually go visit the area in January. Will probably be buggying out on Mustang Island by the state park sometime in the middle of the month.
