I need some advice???? Kite values.

I was wondering what an un-used Frenzy 12.5 meter, Frenzy 7.5 meter, and a 10 meter access would go for these days. All 2006 - None have been flown.

I also can't seem to find any stats on these kites - such as aspect ratio's. Is the year to old?

All come with lines and bars.

I'll throw this out there as a guess - That's if these are brand new and not just unflown by you

12.5 - $650
10 - $500
7.5 - $450

Do these have strap sheeting or are they knot sheeting like the Accesses? I am guessing they are knots which are an older design and a bit of a pain to adjust in gusty conditions (you have to land them to adjust, whereas the strap sheeting you can do on the fly).

One problem right now with the kite market is that there is a bit of a recession going on which is causing prices to fall and for kites to sit unsold for a bit. Unless you need cash RIGHT NOW I would hold onto these and wait a while for things to pick up.

I am looking at buying that is why. The seller has these three. I agree on the market. It is definitely a buyers market right now. That is why I think I need to jump on one of these. . . .. . .. Can't decide. :puzzled:

I want to ride it on snow. I have been looking into the access. I have heard it is a kite that has a lot of pull but not much lift. Can anyone verify this?

you may want to research the following yourself.
Ozone made some 'Frenzy' changes from 05 to 06 and some say the 05 stuff(?) was better. 07s changes reflected better 05 (?)qualities. if this is all correct you may want to look at 05, or 07, stuff. :dunno:
i don't know what was deemed better/worse; flight handling, control hardware, materials, or what.

Depending on your typical wind range where you are and skill level I'd recommend the 10m for 10-20mph. I love my 10, I get the most use out of it of all my kites.. It's a great all around kite.

I don't however run on snow and there may be more resistance so it's possible the 12.5 would be better.

I heard rumors about the 2006's as well but also heard praise for them I don't think there was any major design flaws with them.
my two cents
good Luck

Flexi's prices sound about right. I'm pretty sure by 2006 the Access had the trim strap. If this is the knot set-up it may be closer to $450 ? Also the 12.5 may go for $600 due to it's limtations.

All would be worth a bit more in a sellers market.

Of the 3, I might guess you would get most use out of a 10m. Depending on your size and winds. The Frenzys will be tougher built so may take a bit more abuse ?

the Access 1 does not have the trim stap, only adjustement knots. But the Frenzy same year does have it.

The winds here around Boise only average about 8-10 mph on a good day. There is a fella here that tells me I will at least need a 10 meter to get me anywhere. ....So that is what I am leaning towards. On the beamer I have I don't mind adjusting the knots ... . that is I have never done it any other way.
