first try using the Go Pro Digital Helmet Cam

So I finally got a chance to try this thing out and upload a video.

I found a new beach that looks promising but we've had an inversion over washington lately so there has been practically no wind anywhere.

anyway I found this spot and it was blowing about 6-8mph on my pocket anomometer when I started. I think it actually got even lighter then that after I got the arrow up in the air. I was hoping it would pick up a little more and I might actually get a short down winder in but that didnt end up being the case. none the less I still got to try out the sweet helmet cam. this thing is going to be friggen awesome once we actually get some good wind!

Tickle it and call it pretty.

I love it when the FS'ers fill up. Esp in stronger winds... Do the PL's have a similar sense of "readiness"?

Pretty spot... Quality cam, too looks like.

With the PL's once they are off the ground and near zenith they finish their inflation - there is a "bam" and they are ready to go. It's a good feeling.

Thats exactly what I'm talking about:spin:

Love that sound (phwap!)... love that feeling

sorry for the hijack

man I really wish I could have actually gotten some footage of riding. I think by the time the kite fell out of the sky it must have only been blowing about 4mph.

the day before it was pretty consistenly above 12mph and continued to build later in the day. I thought maybe the same thing would happen but no it just fizzled out as soon as I got my kite up :puzzled:

expect to see more movies once I do get a chance to go riding
