Whow....I thought the JoJo's had the biggest FB's at 16m???

I got the 10m Yak and love it...I thought that was a real powerful kite....steady 6mph and I'm cruising....

...was at the beach yesterday and a steady 3.5mph...Too low for the 10m...I think that 17m would have been the ticket!

Wonder...how low can you go with that thing....would it actually be possible to fly in 2mph????

Would be fun to find out...:wow:

I would think so though considering how with roughly a 3 mph wind, was able to move along at a blistering, rubber peeling speed of 8-10 mph with the jojo 16m RM+. Ok, maybe that's not all that fast...lol, but sure is more fun than not being able to ride at all.

Then again though, what the actual wind speed was up where the kite is at, I'm sure is different... who knows.

Couldn't agree more...Speed is great....well I guess I wouldn't really know...my high is only 23mph so far but hoping to hit 30 next time I get out to El Mirage...but just being able to cruise around at any speed in that low of wind is a big thrill for me. Reminds me of the time I was cruising at my local park at night..wind was blowing about 5-6mph, had my Yak 10m up and doing 100yd tacks back and forth...No soccer players to worry about and then a lonely coyote decided to follow me for about 10-15mins back and forth...probably only going 6mph - 8mph but still one of the best sessions to date....

BTW...love those JoJo's!!! My 5m is so powerful and well made...just got to find a 16m for cheap now...yeah, I know...good luck ;-)

Hmmm can we do a pass the kite on this one? :piggy:

I have receached speeds of 30 mph with a wind speed of 3 to 6 mph with my 16 JoJo RM+ on the beaches of Sunset. Granted it is not a tight course foil but when you get back from a 14 mile run it takes a while to get the smile off your face.
Haven't gotten to test the Spirit 15.5 yet but I need to heal my knee first, bionic knee on the right side. LOL

Just blows my mind that you can achieve speeds like that in such light winds. These race kites are truly 'works of art' IMHO...
