One time I was in a hurry to get home from kitesurfing. For some stupid reason I drove to the beach. I live about 4 minute walk to the beach. But it was cold and I didn't want to walk home wet. I took off my gear threw it into the big plastic box in the back of my van. Forgot my helmet laying on the ground. Oopss. I backed over it and smashed it flat.

Bummer. I don't know where the pictures of this went. It was funny.

Well, I didn't break anything yesterday but was late getting home from a buggy session. It was worth the lecture.

Bummer!!!!

don't feel bad...

A few years back......

I pulled my directional board out of my cargo van and it placed the board up on the roof so it wouldn't get scratched when I put my buggys in from a day at the beach,.....
got in and at the first stop sign I heard this rumbling sound over head on the roof of the van next I see this wafer type UFO crossing the intersection and vanish into a 100 pieces when it hit the ground........

I was doing a downwinder on my mountainboard in TX a year or so ago and my father in law was following me in his Jeep. I stopped, dropped the kite to pack it up and left my board in the middle of the beach. The next thing I knew, I looked up while packing the kite and my father in law had done a u-turn and was right next to me. I noticed he had run over my lines and they were wrapped around the axle. Worse still, he had also run over my board and it was jammed in the wheel well. It broke two hubs and both trucks. It was a nightmare to get it unstuck from the jeep. When we got back to camp, Mike, my father in law announced that the bad news was he had run over my board. He continued to report that the good news was that I wasn't on it! Funny.

Anyway, MBS overnighted a bunch of stuff to me and I managed to get some more good rides on that trip!

My first land board was a Scrub. About 2 wks. after I got it(and like my 3rd sesh), my stopped on the beach where my wife was fishin. She was talking to me, and I did a little bouncy- bounce(not even hard enough to make the wheels come off the ground). AND IT SNAPPED IN TWO!!!:o WTF!!!!!

Oh yeah,SCRUB sent me a new one!! And I haven't had a problem at all, in fact it looks like it has been in a war zone ,I've used it so much.

I'm not sure what she was sensitive to that day. She didn't mind that I was buggying, but was miffed that the kids had gotten home and didn't know where I was. The kids didn't care and Wexler is almost 14 and had been left in charge many times before. My wife as great as she is is a manager and can't turn it off at home. I frequently have to remind her "I didn't punch the clock when I walked in today". But this is the same wife that happily helps me end up at a beach destination at least once every 6 weeks or so. It all works out.

Oh ho!
I broke a GI deck
the older long wood one once it 'twas the red one
kracked it on the inside drill hole of my
left binding
on a landing of my very first jumps
with super big Mongoose 10 inch tires
Ground industries sent me a free and shorter replacement
they kickass!
but even worse!
i lost my car keys on the beach
@sandy hook 's northernmost beach
last weekend,
gotta ride home from this stranger, Sherwood,
very cool guy.
and had to take my wife with her car
and my spare key
aaaaaaaalllllll the way back to get the van,
phone was locked in the van too!

that was so bad!

My Buggy looked just like this after a 4x4 truck ran over it.

Fortunately for me all that was bent was the bolt. It snapped as I tried to take it off so I had to have a shop remove it. Still only $50 dollars later I was back in business !
