Being involved in extreme sports is a high risk activity.
It is always a good idea to take the best precautions against the unforseen.
Something you may consider (if you have not already), is getting some personal insurance.
From what I have picked up so far, the British Buggy Club can organise insurance for you at a minimal charge for a year.
