Pass the Reflex

 Pages:  1

Scudley - 4-2-2009 at 05:01 PM

Tonya has decided to have a pass the Reflex program. The kite being passed is my personal Reflex 4, please take care of it, colour: face: red; back: orange/red separated by a yellow lightening bolt. (We did not think sending out a new white kite was a good idea.)
If you are interested in trying out a Reflex, please sign up. When we have a few name to figure out a route, we will send it out.

I'm up, can come to pick it up early next week... maybe meet for a fly if the rain keeps holding off...

:wee:

edit: btw I'll need to send it on before the last week of feb, heading back across the big pond to the west for a few months... :puzzled:

edit 2: "never presume to assume..." just suggestions above, a way things could work out :saint:

DAKITEZ - 4-2-2009 at 07:40 PM

put me on the list please.

I will make sure screwyfits, sthrasher, flexiblade, artlessing, etc. get a chance to try it.

You guys won't be disappointed... The 4m reflex is nice:thumbup:

DAKITEZ - 4-2-2009 at 08:38 PM

I could tell from the video BR posted up it looked like a good flying kite. I could also tell in the video that there wasn't much wind and the stunt kite performance the kite was giving was the reason for all the folding. I have found when i stunt fly a foil the folding in the video is normal par for the course. A good kite will fold and recover, a not so good kite will twist up, bow tie and fall to the ground. even more impressive was all the reverse flying for a foil of that size. I look forward to giving it a try if I may.

speleopower - 4-2-2009 at 09:17 PM

Please put me on the list as well. Would love to give it a try.

Here is a vid from NABX last year where the wind was a bit harder blowing ;)
3 m Reflex named Pinky is flown:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyV-mbI9jEQ

Here is a little funny clip with the same character Pinky :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fef3BMjlurs&feature=chann...

We will be sending it shortly :)

Scudley - 8-2-2009 at 09:29 AM

Unless someone in the Washington or Oregon area want to check out the 4m. It should be heading down to Dakitez in the next couple of days.
S

Bladerunner - 8-2-2009 at 09:41 AM

I am shocked that more people aren't interested in checking this kite out :wow:

I have not seen a kite built with such unique materials. They have stood up to testing around here. Almost every flyer has had a go at them. No one I know ( who still flies kites ) has ever expressed a problem with them.

I would have trouble classifying this kite. It seems to perform well in most ways. A kite you won't grow out of.

I have NOTHING to do with S.C. I only have the pleasure of flying the ones that Tonya and Sean share so freely around here !

It would be nice to see the folks out East get a go one these !
Angus, If you don't get in on the pass please be SURE to give Ken's a go at NABX !

furbowski - 8-2-2009 at 09:46 AM

sounds like it will get a lot of exposure soon down in cal with dakitez and many others, shame it wasn't there for the demo day...

I got a brief fly once, it is a sweet kite!

Scudley - 8-2-2009 at 09:59 AM

Furb, if you want to come over and fly let me know. I would have invited you, but the conditions have been crap and it just continues. Most of GP is a lake.
S

furbowski - 8-2-2009 at 10:30 AM

Cheers, but with ferry fares the way the are I've had to be content with a tiny beach area opening up on the afternoon low tides, coon bay at the north end of here on galiano, as well as a couple flies at island view beach and clover point on the island side, tiny but at least no lakes!

I'll be back mid summer. things will be dry by then.

Scudley - 11-2-2009 at 07:29 PM

Dakitez,
The Reflex 4m is in the post. You should see it in about a week.
The AoA adjustment is set to medium fast and the brakes are set to what for me is slack. Flew beautifully when I checked it out yesterday. Enjoy.

NPWfever - 11-2-2009 at 07:32 PM

This is a racekite right?

revpaul - 11-2-2009 at 07:38 PM

i'd like to compare it with my 3.8 Reactor.
when some wind arrives:moon:
Paul

Scudley - 11-2-2009 at 09:08 PM

RevPaul, I would have sent it off to you guys first had you spoken up. No prejudice against our southern neighbour, it would have me saved me some cash on the postage.
NPWfever, it depends on how you define race kite. Most race kites are usually characterized by lots of grunt and being tricky to fly. Archkiter described the Reflex as being a tamer version of her Mac Bego. I would describe it as a better behaved version of a Mac Bego. I think the control amazing. A friend likes to borrow my kites to practice new tricks because as he puts it, " I always know where it is going to be." He also says, "When you start to milk it, it is like the kite has a second gear."
I bought the first Reflex in North America because my girl friend was having trouble starting to buggy. She tried all my kites and a bunch of others, no luck the kites kept falling from the sky. Dirt Slide had been given this kite by a Russian couple who were at Gary Point practicing the ground handling. They were the Canadian reps for a Ukrainian paraglider company that also made kites. We had made a lot fun of DS's Lada kite. Out of desperation, I asked if the GF could try it as she was not having any luck with anything else. She put up the kite and took off. She was screaming, laughing and hollering as buggied around our little field. After three minutes I bought the kite for her.
A couple of months later l took a chance and bought a 7m that I had never flown from a company no one had ever heard of. I had been buggying less than a year and by the next spring guys were saying their goal for this year was to go faster than me. I think I am a pretty good flier but most of the credit goes to the kite I fly. I sold my 7m bullet two weeks later.
To answer your question: is it a racekite? I guess the answer is that Reflex is a race kite if you want it to be. Unlike most race kites Reflex is also an excellent beginners kite. I have handed my 10m to a girl with very limited experience and she had a blast with it. In less than half an hour she was scudding having only flown a 3m 2 line trainer.
Put yourself on the list and check it out. It really is a great kite.
S

P.S. I am not in this for money, but because I think Sky Country makes great kites. I just heard Sky Country are coming out with a new depower model, MadagaSCar. It has a 6:1 aspect ratio. Maybe I will have one before NABX.

revpaul - 11-2-2009 at 10:17 PM

no problems:bouncing: i got plenty to do until a Reflex makes it's way here
thnx Scudley

Scudley - 17-2-2009 at 10:29 PM

Reflex 4 is now with Dakitez.
He will be holding on to it until after NABX.
S

DAKITEZ - 28-2-2009 at 10:17 AM

I got the kite out yesterday for about an hour. The winds were very light around 5-6mph, but the kite flew very well. The winds are suppose to be better today, so I look forward to getting more time on it and getting to play with the bridle adjustments. I will report back after I get more time on it.

Thanks again to the sky country team for the opportunity to give this kite a try.

Scudley - 28-2-2009 at 06:25 PM

Your welcome Dakitez. We have had garbage flying conditions here. It is not like I have had the opportunity to miss it.
S

Dagon - 28-2-2009 at 06:41 PM

Hey, that me with the yellow helmet flying pinkey!!
I am famous.

csa_deadon - 1-3-2009 at 12:08 AM

Would love to give this kite a try. Understand I have to wait till after NABX. No prob though. Won't have a buggy till the end of March anyway.

Scudley - 13-4-2009 at 04:19 PM

Reflex is supposed to have gone back to Dakitez after NABX. Did you get it back and have you had a chance to fly it in decent wind?
S

geojones - 13-4-2009 at 06:05 PM

i'd like a shot at this kite--dont know where i'd be on the list.....i'm in ohio....don

DAKITEZ - 13-4-2009 at 10:13 PM

Screwyfits has the reflex because he brought it back from NABX. We will try and get some time in on it this week and send it off to the next in line next week. Whoever is next in line send me a u2u with your shipping info. and let me know if you prefer parapack or handle wrap.

Scudley - 13-4-2009 at 10:32 PM

Keep it 'til you get some wind. Give it a good fly. There are only a few people in line. The next up is Speleopower in Cocoa Beach.
S

SCREWYFITS - 24-4-2009 at 04:15 PM

speleopower...
Where are you?
Come out, come out where ever you are!!!

I'm ready to send it your way, if another wind passes through I might throw it up again... but its ready to pass on to you...

I'll be posting a review soon as I compile all my info... n

I will say its a nice kite!!!

I'm U2U'n you speleopower, so I can get your addy...

SCREWYFITS - 24-4-2009 at 05:08 PM

speleopower turned down the chance (technical Difficulties) and said to pass to the next in line, so who's next?

Bladerunner - 24-4-2009 at 05:13 PM

Maybe Angus, B'Bob or someone might want to take tis one to Jibe ?
If either of them are on the list the timing is good.

dgkid78 - 24-4-2009 at 05:19 PM

Can i Be on this list too?? Would love to try a new kite. I am only familar with HQ Stuff

SCREWYFITS - 25-4-2009 at 10:34 AM

dgkid78 U2U me your addy and if someone doesn't claim the next spot in line then it's coming your way...

You'll like it, it's a lil beast for a 4m...
More power than my 6.5m Blade IV in the same winds, I flew them back to back... two completely different style kites, but power to power, DAMN this lil beast is got GUMPTION!!!

Gotta say... uuuuuuuuuuhhhhh!!!! SHAAAZAAM!!!! :frog:

SCREWYFITS - 26-4-2009 at 09:25 AM

Scudley and solaris do you have anyone it should go to next or can I ship it to dgkid78?

dgkid78 has got me his addy so if there is someone else in line first, I need to know or I'm sending it to dgkid78 and then he'll have to send it to you...

I'll give it till Tuesday April 28th and then it's heading to who ever is next... so far its dgkid78...

DAKITEZ - 26-4-2009 at 10:36 AM

csa_deadon - 26-4-2009 at 09:01 PM

Sent U2U to Screwy. Gonna have to take a pass on this one. Busted two ribs on the 16th while riding my buggy.
Doc says no buggy, or kites till June. Thanks for the chance to try the Reflex but it not meant to be this time.

bobalooie57 - 27-4-2009 at 05:06 AM

Is it too late to jump on the list? Maybe with a few more interested parties, we can keep her in circulation 'til csa-deadon can fly again! If so add me, I've only flown Ozone and some HQ, would love the chance to fly a Reflex. Bob
I'm in upstate NY BTW. edit

Scudley - 27-4-2009 at 03:48 PM

Please send me a U2U with your addresses and I will try to organize to keep shipping costs down.
Screwy, glad you liked the kite. I sure love them and there is nothing I like better than someone who agrees with me. The 3m is a lot of fun too, I am not sure which I like to fly more.
S

Scudley - 28-4-2009 at 05:44 PM

Dgkid78 will have to wait. Screwy you are in luck in terms of shipping expense. Soylent who lives not far from you would like to give the Reflex a try. I will U2U his address. He will send to Dgkid78 in Ma. Then it is on to Bobalooie57 in NY.
That is unless someone between the Bay Area and Boston wants it.
It would have been an awesome for flying it here, 15 kts steady as a rock.
S

dgkid78 - 28-4-2009 at 05:46 PM

I think GeoJones Was before me. He's in Ohio:)

bigben91682 - 29-4-2009 at 06:52 PM

I'm in NY a few hours from bobalooie57 (who gave me a heads up about this), I'd love to give it a go. U2U to Scudley

If it works out I hope I don't cut anybody in line.:wee:

Scudley - 11-5-2009 at 03:40 PM

Kite is on its way to Soylent. You may have received it today. Let me know when you get it.

S

Scudley - 16-5-2009 at 10:10 AM

Soylent,
The Reflex has been waiting pick up for a week at your post office.
S

Soylent - 18-5-2009 at 06:31 AM

Odd I've had it for about a week now, got it on the 11th or 12th. Had one light breezy day but nothing exciting. Don't think we're gonna see much more wind till fall.

Scudley - 18-5-2009 at 08:37 PM

So much for the USPS tracking service as it still shows that you have not picked it up.
Sorry for the whinge, hope the wind picks up soon.
S

DAKITEZ - 18-5-2009 at 08:42 PM

Be careful Soylent that kite packs some punch :wow:

We should have some wind the next couple days with the cooling trend coming through. Hopefully you will get some good winds to try it out in.

Soylent - 19-5-2009 at 07:30 AM

Here's to hoping and thanks for the tip and all your help as of late Dino.

Scudley - 19-5-2009 at 07:34 AM

If you adjust the bridle so the leader is attached at the knot closest to the leading edge, the kite will fly in surprisingly low wind. You have to fly it fast, lots of power spins, but it will pull as long as you keep it moving. At NABX when the wind was not a howling gale, Ed and I were still flying our Reflexes while many others with larger kites were sitting out on the playa waiting for wind. Of course, we are from Vancouver, so we get lots of time to practice flying really low wind :(.
S

bobalooie57 - 4-6-2009 at 08:31 AM

csa_deadon is back in action! Is this kite still circulating? B

dgkid78 - 7-6-2009 at 07:38 PM

Is it my turn yet? been a while

Soylent - 8-6-2009 at 07:10 AM

I got in a few good hours on it. Just let me know who and where to send it.

dgkid78 - 8-6-2009 at 05:39 PM

If I remember correctly it. Was me. Double check with who is running the show :D

kitejumper - 8-6-2009 at 05:58 PM

id like a shot at this also.......:wee: im in ohio

Scudley - 8-6-2009 at 09:50 PM

Soylent please check U2U

I just asked Soylent to send the kite on Fall River MA.
after that it is on to one of the guys in NY state.
Have a good time with it dgkid.
Let me know when it get to you and I will let you know where to send it next.
S

P.S. I have just had four excellent days straight with my new Reflex 4 (the one DirtSlide was flying in video) Perfect 10+kts from the south the perfect wind for our field.

dgkid78 - 9-6-2009 at 12:31 PM

Thanks Scudley. Can't wait

Soylent - 10-6-2009 at 11:39 AM

Will have it in the mail in the morning.

Scudley - 24-6-2009 at 10:38 AM

dgkid should be getting the Reflex 4 today.
From here the kite goes to
Boballoie57 in NY
bigben91682 in NY
kitejumper in OH
Drewculous in NE
did I miss anyone?
S

dgkid78 - 24-6-2009 at 05:19 PM

Ya I missed it. When ya said mail I thought USPS . LOL it was fedex and I was at work. Unfortunatley i am gonna miss it for all 3 attempts to drop off. My Bad I didn't plan ahead. I will most likely pick it up at the fedex location after 3rd attempt, If i can't figure out his route and meet him. There is a Fedex warehouse 10 min from my house but the package is coming from a warehouse in Rhode Island. Weird lol I will have to go there to pick up. :bigok:

PS Sorry for the minor delay. I know everyone wants there try

DAKITEZ - 24-6-2009 at 09:09 PM

you should be able to call fedex and have them hold it at the pick up facility for you.

dgkid78 - 25-6-2009 at 05:59 AM

I did . They said I had to wait for final attempt :barf:

Drewculous - 25-6-2009 at 06:12 AM

woohoo! on the list!
Thanks again scudley!
Ill keep an eye out for when it rolls into town!

Scudley - 9-7-2009 at 02:13 PM

Looks like the Reflex 4 will soon be on the way to bobalooie57. dgkid let me know when you send it. Glad you had a good time with it.
S

dgkid78 - 9-7-2009 at 02:30 PM

Sure No Problem, Scudley.

Awesome kite too. lots o fun!! :D

dgkid78 - 10-7-2009 at 04:57 PM

Should arrive in new york Tuesday. Who's that? Ya live in the boonies lol extra for shipping .....not a problem at all..was fun flying it :)

bobalooie57 - 11-7-2009 at 01:04 PM

Whoo hoo! Can't wait! Been busy remodelling my bathroom, could use a good excuse for a kitebreak! bobalooie57 (boonies, yeah, but it's quiet!)

Scudley - 12-7-2009 at 05:02 PM

Bobalooie57, I hope you enjoy the kite. Be careful, my (new) 4m Reflex smacked me today.
The day started early, about 6:30, with 10 kts. I put up my Alasca (10m depower). Around 10:30 the wind was up and now gusting, I got lifted out of the buggy. I decided to switch down to my Reflex 4. I launched the 4m from behind a sort hedge. When the kite got above the wind shadow of the hedge, it yarded me across the field with me rolling and bouncing. Ended up losing about 20 sq. inches of skin off my left shoulder blade. (I made up for the loss of skin by replacing it with a bunch of sand and gravel.)
It was not that bad; I continued to kite for another three hours. Then got the wounds cleaned out and bandaged. My shoulder smarts pdg. I would say it was a pretty good day of kiting, but I only stayed for nine hours.
S

Bladerunner - 12-7-2009 at 05:13 PM

Seems that letting go is not an option that Scudley considers !
Amazing how you flew your way out of that one even after the flips

It was a fun day though !

ahhh......sounds like fun--i had a beautiful OBE today with the blade 10.5,was cruising nice and fast and i hit a couple dry patches in the grass, all of a sudden im bumping this way and that, trying to steer straight and out i went at 20 mph or so--i rolled over about 3-4 times, then dumb buggy rolled over on me--just got scraped up and a leg bruise, but i'll bet it was a thing of beauty to the bystanders in the field LOL

Hey!

You did not tell how badly your 4m yanked you when I saw you at the park!

I let go once instead of an obe over the front fork and later I had to deal with a wind shift that had me ride over the lines at the same time the kite re-inflated and powered up. Ouch!

bobalooie57 - 14-7-2009 at 08:39 AM

Scudley, received the kite this am. U2U'd you. Thanks, Bob

bobalooie57 - 18-7-2009 at 06:33 PM

I got my first shot at the 4M Reflex this am. Blue sky morning, computer listed winds W at 10 mph, so I headed to the fairgrounds. When I got there, winds seemed more like 15, with some higher gusts, to maybe 20. After sorting out some tangled lines, ( how long are those lines?, btw) and admiring the orange/red color scheme with white lightning bolts, I launched the Reflex at about 45 deg. and was off and running to avoid being pulled across the field! Screwy said Gumption!, I say Gumption with Attitude! I got her to zenith, and she kept pulling, wanting to lift my 195# butt off the ground! I decided this was too much wind for this kite and my newbie health, so I landed her, folded her up and spent two hours in the buggy with the 2M Beamer! I went back around 4 pm, and the winds had calmed some to about 8 mph, gusting to 15 or so, so I was game to try again. I launched, and quickly sat in the buggy, to have some place to put all that power, and was soon going about as fast as I can remember going on grass in the bug, and was rapidly running out of field! Afraid of the OBE potential, if I tried to brake too quickly, I flew the kite out of the window, collapsing it and then bringing the buggy to a stop. I'd have to say that I'd really love more time with it to explore the kite's (and my own) potential, but it will be off on Monday to bigben in Albany, i think - U2U to you Scudley, and once again thanks! kitejumper - you're gonna love this kite!bobalooie57

Scudley - 19-7-2009 at 07:13 PM

Bob,
why not keep the kite until after next weekend, there are only two more guys on the list after you. Maybe your wind will be more suitable. Let me know if you want to send the kite on right away.
The lines are 30m.
See skycountry.ca for pricing, prices are listed at the bottom of the kite pages. The prices are in Canadian dollars, about ninety cents US. If you are interested in buying a kite drop me an email at my skycountry email.
Reflex has some pull once it gets moving. Check at the bridle for the AoA setting. Putting the larkshead at on the knot closest to the leading edge will take away some of power and make the kite way more lively and less lifty. that is how I usually fly it or one away from the leading edge.
I will send you Ben's address by U2U as soon as I clean out my excess messages.

bobalooie57 - 20-7-2009 at 05:21 AM

Scudley, again many thanks! I certainly will hold on to her this week. I'd love to get in some light and steady winds with this kite. I think it goes upwind better than anything else I've flown (limited) but I've never had access to a kite like this one! I almost had to go upwind to keep from going too fast! Whoo hoo! With all the hot air going on in Albany, bigben91682 will never hold her down!b57

Scudley - 27-7-2009 at 10:14 AM

Bob,
Hope you got to fly this weekend. Wind here was terrible. I sat in the park on Saturday in the blazing sun waiting for wind. U2U sent to you with bigben's address.

You know, they don't call me Big Ben for nothing. :)

Looking forward to my turn! Good timing too, I finally have some open weekends coming up.

bobalooie57 - 29-7-2009 at 11:09 AM

O.K. so here goes, I got to fly the Reflex 4 about seven times total, in winds from 0-5mph, all the way up to 15-20, w/possible higher gusts. I found I could launch her in just a puff of wind, and the long (30M) lines helped get her up to find some clean wind, but keeping her there takes some skill and athletic ability in very light wind. Sometimes during a lull, she would fold completely in half, dropping out of the sky, but any kite will do this. In light and variable wind, say 3-8, I found myself oversteering the kite and sending it into a spin, but this is probably due to my inexperience with the kite and long lines. Today in fairly steady 8-12 the kite really was at it's best for me. I was able to fly her all over the window, without too much fear of being tossed, and once again in the buggy had to turn hard into the wind to keep her flying, and was able to get in some great runs across the soccer fields at the fairgrounds. Awesome in both power and lift in the higher winds I flew in, I found my comfort zone was definitely in the steady 8-12 mph range, but with practice with this kite, I could probably get comfortable with it up to 20. Will be sending it out this afternoon to bigben91682. Thanks again to Scudley, for sharing this kite with us all. bobalooie57

Scudley - 31-7-2009 at 04:24 PM

You are very welcome Bob.
Ben please u2u me when you get kite.
There are only a couple of more people on the list. Anyone else want to have a go with it?
S

bigben91682 - 1-8-2009 at 08:38 AM

Got it this morning (Scudley sent you a U2U) thanks Bob.

Calling for light winds tomorrow, should be good for a static go with the Reflex, hoping the rain holds off.

Thanks again guys.

Scudley - 9-8-2009 at 09:19 PM

Ben, did you get out with the Reflex? Let us know how it went.
S

Scudley - 24-8-2009 at 02:18 PM

I have asked Bigben to send the Reflex on to George Jones in Toledo. Please let me know when it has been sent and when it reaches its destination.
I hope you had some fun with it Ben.
S

Got you PM Scud, and I'll send it out tomorrow.

I only had a chance for one flight with it with mixed results, not because of the kite but because of the wind....summer duldrums for sure around here... It had a surprising amount of pull when the wind cooperated enough to keep it in the air, and I liked it's speed and performance. Got a couple runs in the buggy before the wind went super flaky and wouldn't keep anything in the air. All in all it's a nice little kite, lines were a bit long for my taste (30m?) but wasn't really a detriment to the kite, more of a personal preference.

Thanks again Scudley, I'll send it along....

I have tried Reflexes on shorter lines, but really prefer them on the 30m lines. Shorter lines are nice if your flying space is really limited, but I find the Reflex is responsive enough that the control is not hindered by long lines. Reflexes are so fast that on short lines you have to be reacting pretty quickly to keep it in the power.
Sorry to hear that Albany is such a bad place for wind. Maybe I should send you the Phlorescent Leach, 10 meter Reflex. It flies when just about everything else is lying on the ground. If there is wind, watch out because it pulls like a truck.

I agree with you, I don't think the long lines were a detriment to the performance, I think I just wasn't used to it. Nice kite though. I'm missing the spring winds, hopefully they'll be picking up as things cool off around here.

Add me to the list. Please.:singing:

I am hoping the Reflex is on its way to Nebraska. From there it goes to Maven454 in Virgina. He seems to be the last in the US interested in trying out a Reflex. Are there anyone in Canada wanting to try it out before it comes back to Vancouver.

Assuming that the Reflex gets to me in time, I'll likely bring it to Wildwood and you could try it there.

You know, I'd be interested to see this kite at the Buggy Bash... But let me be serious in saying I'm normally too busy flying what I have to check other stuff out for more than a few minutes... lol. Would be neat if you could bring it to the buggy bash though. :)

cheezycheese - 17-9-2009 at 03:11 PM

that's cool... see you in w.w. :cool2:

Maven454 - 29-9-2009 at 01:30 PM

I have the Reflex.

Scudley - 29-9-2009 at 02:58 PM

Thanks for letting me know. I guess this means it is in time for your trip to New Jersey. Have a great time with it.
Good winds for Wildwood.

maven--just remember that since the right side brake bridle is broken, you'll have to match up the left side to make it work--its a great kite to fly

Maven454 - 30-9-2009 at 02:57 AM

I remember.

Maven454 - 19-10-2009 at 03:27 AM

Well, had the 4m Reflex (static) out at Anacostia on Sunday for half an hour. I'd say that the 4m flew about like a 3m Beamer . It's faster than you'd expect from a 4m, but not insanely fast. It does go all the way up to the edge of the window and still provide power and did a reasonable job with gusts and lulls. I don't think that I was impressed enough with it to want to pay the price tag that's on the Sky Country kites though. I'm betting it's an excellent buggy kite though.

RonH - 19-10-2009 at 08:58 PM

You are joking about the reflex 4 flying like a beamer 3???? Aren't you? Someone break the kite in the pass?

it did break when i had it, but certainly not from anything i did......i only flew it in about 10mph--by the time it got to me, you could see the lines were frayed all over the place and that this kite had seen better days---maven, i can tell you before the bridle broke, it pulled like a tank--WAY more than a beamer ever could........

Scudley - 19-10-2009 at 09:34 PM

That is my thought and why I am asking the kite be returned to me. Sorry Druculis, but why pay postage on a kite that is not flying right.
Maven see my U2U.

It pulled, but not as hard as I'd have expected from a 4m. It flew (straight line speed) like a slightly smaller kite, but it turned slow. The winds that I had it up in were ~10-12mph.

kitejumper - 20-10-2009 at 11:38 AM

scudley-let me know when you want to trade lines--kj
