Another day of no wind. So calm I spent the afternoon flying my r/c chopper outside.
Here is a video of flying last spring just before NABX and about 3 weeks after they started draining Lake Goosepoo. Another month before they start
draining. This video is about the only thing I have had to do with kiting in weeks. A Saturday in March 08

I hate to hijack your post scudley but the description fits.
Here is a video I managed to take on Sunday Feb 15/09 at our little park.
It gets crowded sometimes but its all we have.

Only because we have to share with a bunch of swimming geese and ducks. When are they opening the drain. With day time temps running above 10°C, it
is unlikely there will be much skating in the near future.
If I drop a kite in Lake Goose Poo, can I bring it to your house to clean up? My apartment is a bit small to spread out more than a 2m kite.

Another video from February 21/2009
One more month and the Lake should be drained but by then I won't care cuz I'LL be in NABX!!:wee:
Never realized your area was so small, guess were blessed in Alberta with endless fields etc. Would definitely love your winds, inland winds get so
dirty. Guess that's life just can't have it all.
Nice vid's :bigok:Bladerunner - 25-2-2009 at 08:28 PM
What is already a small park is allowed to flood each winter.
What is even more odd is that there aren't many other choices. My local park ( Vanier ) is only about as long a ride as G.P. in winter. But nice winds
!
That little lake is gone in the summer and the winds often allow us to run the park the other ( much longer ) way. even at that it gets tricky
co-existing with the one liners, Rev / stunt fliers and the general public.
Don't envy Vancouver . We have a great crew of people but or locations suck :ticking:
