I MIGHT be able to make this. I will be crashing with some friends in Springfield, MA Friday night and Saturday night. Sunday we drive off to
Tremblant for a week. Saturday's plans arent final, I might be able to make it...
kiteNH - 18-2-2009 at 12:30 PM
I just hope they get some snow up there in the next day or two. I'm not keen on trying to kiteski on ice. But Burlington is a cool city and I'm
heading up there no matter what.
Does anyone know how the wind forecast is shaping up?
ragden - 18-2-2009 at 01:48 PM
I havent been checking, but I really hope they get some snow. I wont make the trip if they dont have snow...
Snow in Vermont
vtliter - 20-2-2009 at 02:03 PM
2 days ago we got about 4" of heavy wet snow that laid down on the lake nicely. Couple more inches last night (surprise 15" dump at Bolton Valley!)
and more snow on tap tonight, tomorrow and Sunday. Conditions will be great and Rachael is updating the conditions on her website
www.stormboarding.com
Trust me, there will be snow

I ended up going us on Saturday for a few hours and it was pretty fun. The drive up was a bit long, but the scenery was amazing, so in the end it was
totally worth it. I did discover that trying to learn how to ski with almost no prior skiing experience was almost impossible on the ice. It was
really cool talking to the few people that I did and seeing all the cool kites in the air, and I really enjoyed myself. It would have bee the perfect
day if I knew how to ski and there was some powder on the lake. It was my first year at the event, so Kitestorm veterans... how did this one compare
to prior years?
Jovver - 23-2-2009 at 01:11 PM
Oh almost forgot, on my drive up I drove right along Bomoseen lake in Vermont. The lake had a good amount of powder on it, and there were a ton of
people on the lake ice fishing and riding around on atv's. The lake is roughly an hour and a half from me, so I might try it out sometime soon.
Looks like a great spot to kite.

doublespeed360 Im glad to see you posted a speed. I told someone I was probably doing 20-25mph on my Snowspider when someone on a buggy passed me, may
have been you. See you next year with a new and improved version.
