Getting to Know Your PL Scorpion

WolfWolfee - 21-2-2009 at 08:31 PM

Well I have actually got her in the air twice now. First time very short at the end of a long work day. The second time this afternoon, not much wind but steady and filled nicely. Playing with extensions on the rear lines and next will be the centre strap and then tips. I don't really feel the bar pressure some have stated, I do have it set for a light bar, mind you haven't had the kite in 25 mph winds yet but the time will come.
When she did go up she took a bit too fill up but then crawled straight up top, dam I like that. Played with her a bit still trimmed in and definitely new this kite can provide some sweet power. Tried reverse landing it and well not the control I'm use to it did sit down but with some pretty good pull happening. Does look good in the sky.
There will be more to come, need a hot bath and some sleep been an insane week.
Cheers

very nice WW.............dont forget your adjustments on the VPC bridle knots.................any trouble on your launches? If so keep tension on that down wind front line so she'll curl up and go. Once airborn pump your depower line to break the stall as she tops off and right to zenith you go!!!!! Barnes has my old Scorp, wonder how he's doing?:duh::duh:

VPC are at middle setting right now, just getting the extensions set up nicely. Really need a day of good winds to give her a chance, 8 mph just isn't enough.
