North Oregon Coast

OK, you guys in the know. What's your best guess for the North Oregon Coast this next week? I have a few days and giving it a thought. Forecast looks like a crapshoot 50% or better for rain, and easterlies. If I can get two or three hours of flying I would be happy. It has been a very no wind winter here in Eastern Wa.

It's been horrible here as well, east, east, east seems to be almost all we have been getting.

I'll be posting up some NAPKRA events pretty soon. It's looking like 2 in March, weekends of 7/8 and to welcome in spring, the 21/22.

It'll be good to cya again. If not this weekend perhaps one of these weekends next month.

Although it was 60 deg this past weekend :) I find it way too difficult to predict the weather/wind this far out; the sites will always change their forecast by Thursday. I'd keep an eye on noaa, so far looks like 50 & rain. Low tide is 0.6ft @ 9:30a and high tide is 6ft at 3pm. Another site is predicting SE@ 12mph.

Yeh I know it's a crapshoot to predict the weather. Those that do it for a living don't get it right a lot of the times. I think I'll chase the wind around here for these few days. Looks like we are supposed to get some wind around the central part of the state. Probably better then driving 5 hours and watching the rain. But like Jim says, any day at the beach is good. So I'll see you guys in March.

Eli showed me a site he used for the weather. shows lots of different things. this one shows wind and rain.

There are several different weather models to look at.

Weather looks good here tomorrow but I don't have miles of beach to ride on here.
