Looks like it could be a promising event, and I might have to check it out. Does anyone know the condition of the lake?

What is a snowspider? Is that a new Eclipse foil? I was at Kitestorm and didn't see any Eclipses that I can remember.

I just came back from Oneida Lake. As of yesterday, the lake has the best snowkiting condition flat surface can get.

I was confused about the spider kite as well. So far my searches have led me to believe that spider is the make??? and it looks similar to a Flexifoil stacker with a few different shape changes. Some also have fins on the bottom surface? Take a look at these sites:

What's the chance that there will be some good powder on ice?

Sorry about the confusion. Go to www.curtissavard.blogspot.com he has photos of Kitestorm. On page 2 somewhat in the middle is a kid sitting next to a funky looking sled aka "Snowspider". Its my own creation , I wanted something that goes fast and doesnt tear up my old creeky knees. Next year Ill have some for sale. This summer I might even learn how to post my own photos. Im doing well just getting in and out of a couple of forums.

Did this gathering ever happen? Would like to get some lake condition report as we are planning another snowkiting trip to Oneida Lake next weekend.

Oneida lake cond.

It was ice every where. Fast on skis, but if your kite went down the lines would hang up on all these little razor backs,a real pain at times. Ive been on Onondaga lake this week and a large part of the lake is glass smooth. My sled worked great Im learning how to spin around at the end of my runs. today I ice skated all over the lake a very rare treat.
