Hi, im totally new to power kites but am currently looking for one to use for fun just standing on the groung with no board or buggy. I was looking at
the 2.5meter bullet my weight is 65kg and im about 5 foot 7 inches would the bullet at this size be appropriate or do you have any other suggestions?
how about going a bit bigger for 3.5? I like being in the air a lot so would like to use it for jumping a bit as well. Also do the bullets come with
the backpack and instructions and everything I need to start flying.
Sorry about all the questions
Cheers

The Bullet, although a fantastic kite is really designed to be a "traction engine" meaning it is great for downwind pull, like you would
want with a buggy. If you want to start jumping it is really not designed for that. It will get you "air" in the right conditions, but will
also pull you laterally instead of vertically thus you will "hit the ground running" literally. You may want to look into the Blade III if
you go with Flexis or even one of their recreational kites like the Stackers. I think you will get bored pretty quickly with the Bullet if you
don't buggy or ATB. And yes, 2.5 or less is great to start with. Good luck and fun!

If its your first kite definitely nothing bigger than 4m or you'll end up on your face or backside the whole time
For lift the Blade 3 is the one to go for but also pretty much the top end of the price range
I started out earlier this year with a HQ Beamer 3.6 and now also have a PKD Buster 2m for those really windy days! I can get air with the Beamer in
a reasonable wind, and scud down the beach in a lot less :D
In terms of setup both kites were easy to start with, the Busters arrive in a bag already connected so it is just a case of unwind the lines and go!
The Beamer came with instructions - but set it up either in low/no wind or indoors - I tried to do it on a windy beach and got in a hell of a mess
:puzzled:
Just a final warning - whatever kite you buy you'll wnat another soon and another soon after that. Kiting could be the end of your bank balance
as you know it :o

2.5-3.5 meters is a great size to start with. However, not the best size to use for jumping. If you really want to jump, i would recommend getting a
small 2-2.5 meter kite, and learning with that. Then go bigger, like a 4-5 meter for jumps. If budget is a factor, then go for a budget starter kite
(like a beamer; bullets will cost more) and save some money for a bigger kite.
