Hey, that's my gig! What the hell have I started ,a revolution?
CK, what grade alloy did you use? That's a nice lookin bug ya got there. Pretty work for sure. What joint design did you use on swan neck? Backing
ring or open root w/ purge? Have you thought about powdercoat? That is what I'm doin w/ my newest one. nice skills bro' WG
Ps I was lookin at your pics and I don't see any backup structure under those connection plates on the rear axle. If I was you ,I would put a
gusset under them to rigidify those plates. Or the constant flexing over and over ,will cause fatigue failure. Just my professional opinion. Still
nice though!

nice looking bug.
may be silly question but will the steel (bolts axles, bearings, washers, nuts, and what have u) not corrode/eat the aluminum? (galvanic reaction)

Rev, ya have to use stainless hardware and axles. The bearings don't matter cause they are on stainless.
revpaul - 28-2-2009 at 03:58 PM
it's just carbon steel that eats aluminum? no biggie
SCREWYFITS - 15-3-2009 at 05:08 PM
