Labor day isn't till the 7th, will it be the following week the 13th-19
Or before Aug 30-Sept 6th
Who organizes this event?

Bladerunner - 20-3-2009 at 01:59 PM

The event is a lot less organized than NABX.

Eli has always been a big help with support from that shop he used to work at. I'm not so sure they will be as keen to contribute without Eli's input ? Perhaps the new shop may pick up the slack?

The BIG question is if we can stay in buggy town again this year and when it suits the owner ?

It would be good to know if this will be the week leading up to or following the 7th. Unfortunately I will only have the Fri. + Monday of the long weekend off to attend this year.

I will have Mark Thorn the web guy get the web page changed to show Saturday September 5th through Sunday September 13th. Weekends are the biggest draw but the weekdays are cool with no one to speak of on the beach to get in the way.
I founded SOBB in 2003 and from then on it has been Phil Thompson, Jim Vaugh, Eli Anderson, Richard Ridgeway, David Grimm, myself and many others acting as spokesmen and keepers of SOBB. So no one is really in charge and everyone helps see that we all have a great time year after year. Be aware Jim Vaughn is the mayor of Sunset, nuf said.
Will you buggy on a 14 mile long beach with low tides out 1/8 of a mile, with lots of soft sand and dune behind you?

Thanks Jon,

Just after I wrote this I thought I didn't give proper credit to all those who got and kept this going.

I guess this means it's ON ! I am hoping I can make it the 5th to 8th at least.

I plan to come up again this year. It's a great beach and a great event.
It's a nice reprieve from the end of summer

Man I want to make it up this year! If I do is there any paragliding spots for me and my wife to take advantage of in the area?

Contact these folks at discoverparagliding.com. They are the local instructors here and are in the know. Awesome people to boot.

From what I have seen there are some great chances to glide the dunes there. You won't be alone with the a paraglider.
