Anyone have any dealings with Canadian Wind Rider (CanadianWindRider.com)?

New to me,

People on here and from Canada have most of the products they sell. What are you looking at ? I can possibly lead you to a trusted seller.

Canadian Wind Rider is the distributor for Peter Lynn Products in Canada. He has a list of dealers on his site. The owner Grant Fitz is a nice guy to deal with. He sent me a couple of Scorps (a 10 and 13) to demo even though they were part of the first shipment to Canada. I think he had them for only a week for himself.

Thanks for the reply, Blade.

For most of the run of the mill (and even some of the left of center stuff), I would be sending my business to Angus, Corey, Dino, Kent or my local retailer, Jim.

This actually is related to another current thread. Just for giggles I was looking for sources for the Power Kiting How-To DVD. CWR seems to be the only folks that carry it in North America. Other that, it seems to be PKS, a couple of other English/European stores and a smattering of stores in Australia.

CWR is new to me, so I was hoping one of the Canadian brethren might have had dealings with them of one nature or another.

Grant (Canadian Wind Rider) is a long time kiter and took on the Canadian distribution for Peter Lynn quite a few years ago after Active People closed up distribution . Great guy to deal with, he's also involved with a few other products to promote active lifestyles.

I bet Grant is an O.K. guy ! Sounds like someone ( and I bet others) will stand up for him .

I don't think I know of another source for that DVD ?
You may want to try Atomic kiteboarding out east?
Airtime board sports out west would probably special order it for you ?

Horizon Kites here in Edmonton sells for CWR (my buggy frames came from CWR through Horizon). Vince at Horizon is just keeping his business running at break even so that when retirement hits his life he can hit it headlong and that said he does not mark anything up. Solid guy to deal with AND so is CWR. We had some issues with the siderails I ordered and CWR had no issues rectifying. Horizon used to be based out east but he's moved to our hometown.

I bought that DVD through PowerKiteShop and it wasn't too bad on the old exchange rate/shipping.
