Wind Tracking Sites

Furlongs - 15-3-2009 at 10:22 AM

What sites do others recommend for tracking wind conditions?

I know of ikitesurf.com/, but they only track shore points.

What about if you live in the UK? I currently use www.metcheck.com, but are there other sites that people recommend?

Hey this is a little technical, but i use NOAA for their stuff. You can get wind forecasts for about 6 days in advance.

I have it on a button so i can check it daily. It gives hourly breakdowns of wind speed, gusts, temp, wind chill, chance of precip, just about everything.

Here is my button link for you to check out

http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Grand+Fork...

It takes a little rough navigating to get your own location set up, but it will forceast about a 4 square mile area from where you want.

Anyone interested that needs help setting it up, give me a U2U and I'll help you out

If it gives you an error when you click the link, wait a few minutes. That error shows up when the weather gurus are putting their two cents in for the forecast
