yes, i agree with TRI. get the Pulse models for the beginner-intermediate level and for high wind kiting.

demo kites:

12M- 900.00
10M- 800.00
8M- 700.00

U2U or email

I am extremely pleased with my 7m Pulse. By far the most user friendly kite I own.

If I only had one kite I expect I would choose a 10m Pulse or Pulse II. The 7 is great but a bit small. It's fast so I can create power by flying the heck out of it. I always feel very safe flying it. Even in high winds. Relaunch is extremely easy.

I had a 10m Psycho II before this. It was a good kite but needed a lot more attention. The pulse's are the ones to go for if you want a friendly kite.

I have only had a shot at the 11m Neo. At 145lbs and wimpy I expect I would enjoy the 8m most ? Neo seems like a good option as well ?

Pulse2 12m is your best bet. Good all-arounder

I have nothing against HQ but they dont match Flysurfer quality and flying characteristics.

Yep.... I recommend the pulse, also... Great kite, amazingly easy relaunch, nimble... the pulse 2s are made w/ elastic at the seams, so they are super durable.

The choice is becoming clear... i think i might need another pulse after reading this thread:eureka:

*the Neo was brand spanS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-n new with only a few hours, the day before, on it.
i tried flying(launching) 14m Neo in low winds. i could only manage to keep it in the air long enough to fly it accross window a couple/few times as i walked back/losing ground.
*with all the launch attempts the kite never got fully inflated and quickly deflated when landed.
at the time i thought no biggie, not enough wind. never gave it much thought or blamed bad kite.
just a short time ago we had a 13m Pulse (fairly new and hardly used) in far, far less wind. after just two launch attempts the kite was fully inflated and also stayed inflated (sitting straight up ready for launch) way longer than Neo.
just my 0.02$:spin:

WWW.flysurfer.com should have all the specs on their past kites. I think it's under archives ?
