Too far to drive in search of some mystery buggy location in far west Texas... so went down the other day to San Luis Pass on the west end of
Galveston Island. Was down on monday and had a steady 15 with gusts to 23. Wife and I went tandem buggying, along with lots of solo runs and some
kiteboarding in the water. Water temps are close to 70 degrees now and should warm up quickly.
Me and Lucy made lots of long runs...
They are still cleaning up from IKE.
Still a few boats along the road on 61st street (you can see another in the mirror)
And for those who like to buggy up to McDonald's from East beach during DeadBird... here's a pic of the building next to it. Mcd's is back up and in
operation though.

Do they still have all the trucks and commotion going on at East Beach?
Next time you feel like heading out, shoot me a u2u, I'll meet you down there somewhere if I can. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my days off.
I hit up Bolivar last week. The beach was pretty much deserted... But made for some loooong runs.
I can hardly wait until the water gets warm enough. Shouldnt be long.

Next time I have a wednesday scheduled off is Mid-May. Quite a few of us get together the first weekend in May at SLP as well.
Did'nt go all the way to East Beach, but watched all the dump trucks driving into the water to drop off sand in their "Beach Nurishment" project along
parts of the seawall.
