Hi!

Have been kiteskating for about two months now with a Quadrifoil Q2004. Now I wonder if it's possible to get air with this kite while skating? Or do I ned a bigger/faster kite?

of course the size if the kite vs. the force of the wind dictates how much pull you can generate. the 2004 is a smaller kite, but a good size for some people who skate/buggy in heavy wind.
it is possible to "get air" with a 2004 in very high winds, but it would be easier (and safer) to use a larger kite in more managable wind. a large kite in moderate wind would allow a more controlled lift and landing, plus allow the time for a smooth glide and positioning for landing.
if you are jumping over land remember that crashing bites... pad up! before a jump, cut hard up-wind to load up against the kite and reduce your forward speed, then use the lift of the kite in an upward-180 degree turn to lift you off the ground. land with wheels rolling downwind and then quickly turn 90 degrees to get on your "reach"
good luck and skate safe,
