So.... is there anyone out there still snowkitin'? It's all over here in Idaho I went 3 weeks ago and it was gettin' pretty slushy. Who went later
than 3 weeks ago?!?!?! :P

We had snow forecast once but it didn't come!
Schools cancelled
Monday classes on Sunday at 3pm because it was supposed to snow.

Whaaaaaat/!?!?! Sounds like Idaho weather to me! last week we had a day where it snowed and was windy as all gettup at noon, and at 5pm it was 60
degrees and calm winds.... Just another day in paradise? :P

April 5th was the last day I went out on the frozen lake up here in Edmonton. After that the heat hit and the snow in the fields was gone pretty
quick! Straight from snow to wheels, no down time:wee:
We did get that crazy snow and wind last week here too. Practically a blizard in the morning, snow accumulating and by the time I left work it was
sunny, calm with no trace of snow. Gotta love the April weather!

Im sure at least Noah outta Mt is still gettin some, I know he posted a trip last weekend in the Centennial mtns on the border. He seems to usually
still be gettin some in June most years. I also heard on the radio that Northern Colorado was gettin dumped on this morning.

geeeeze, that's so crazy.... all the snow melted off at the camas prairie here in ID... it's all just MUD now :P . Oh well, onto landboarding!

Come on over to Calgary - landboarding in town but it is still snowing in the Rockies and it looks like we will be snowkiting on Ghost Lake corn
surface for a couple more weeks then wrapping up Spray Lakes sometime in May.
The hardcore are now kiteboarding in dry suits down south at Keho. Lots of wind in Spring :wee:

Mt Redoubt volcano erupted here & littered all of our snowkiting venues with ash, so we're done for the season 8-(
I just got my first run on my doomwheels this weeked though, & had a great 5hr session on Easter Sunday in the water. That Alaskan ocean is still
pretty cold though... Got in the water for the first time the Wednesday before that, & when the waves crashed over me it completely knocked the
wind out of me & gave me an instant brainfreeze headache. Just got my wetsuit hoodie in the mail on Thursday, so that won't be an issue anymore.
Woohoo!! My last real snowkiting session was the last weekend in March at the Thompson Pass Snow Kiting Festival. That was an absolute blast.
Looking forward to a great Spring/Summer kiting season now. It's a year round sport for sure, just gotta strap on different gear to keep going!

Kited on Easter Sunday on Lake of the Woods in Northwestern Minnesota. There was still a bit of snow on it, with 3-4 ft of ice underneath. It was a
bit sloppy and the winds were a little on the lite side, but still fun. It was a nice long, (almost too long) snowkite season.

Our last day was yesterday. We could probably sneak a couple more but the ice is pretty rotten and someone will end up swimming.
We've had some epic late season sessions. Some days we logged over 115 miles. One guy has over 2000 miles in for the season.
Our first day out on the ice was Dec. 5th so it's been a pretty darn good season. Can't wait till next season!
