What do you think about this set up?? The whole posting is a bit bizarre to me.

The guy is from Quebec. People from Quebec are usually ahead of the game. Or are they off in a world of their own ? Either way, they usually know a LOT more than it seems !

I was looking at this as well. I asked how much shipping was to the US and he/she replied twice with 2 different numbers.....not sure what that means.

French Canadian - equine panic snap safety - think PARASKIFLEX...;-)

I've seen plans for something similar around in my surfings of the kite stuffs ... you could DIY but for $40 probably easier to buy it :D

Looks like HQ Scout bar. Practically the exact same rig with center ring.

I built my own cross over bar for a few bucks for leader and pulleys. It worked well and it turned the kite almost as well as handles but anything over a 4 meter and the bar pressure was way high. It wore me out to fly my 5.5 on it so I retired it.

Bar Pressure: I would think the only principle advantage of these kind of bars over handles would be using a harness with it to begin with. (That, and one-handed tricks)

Guess I should have searched the forum first before making a new post sorry. Dman you still have that homemade one? I would be interested in trying that myself. Do you have a basic diagram of how to make it?
