I'm curious what the best all-around kite is (water, snow, land etc.) I'm kinda looking for a kite to learn in water with but still be able to use it
for snowboarding and landboarding. I was looking for a foil at about the 10m range. What size inflatable is approx. equal to a 10m foil for lift,
pull, etc? I've heard bits about the Bularoo being this type of kite but I'm not sure. Any advice would be great. Thanks!Bladerunner - 30-4-2009 at 02:43 PM
Peter Lynn Charger ...... Just wait and see ! :D
Are you asking about a 10m FIXED bridle or Depower ????
Inflatables that I like for land: Best and Ocean Rodeo
Then you have Flysurfer, SkyCountry with their closed cell foils and Peter Lynn with the Twin Skin arcs ! ( my new fav' )HQ-Powerkites - 30-4-2009 at 03:12 PM
This kite is a true crossover kite that is intended for exactly what you described, water and land use.
Cheers

It is also a matter of personal preference. Different people prefer different things.
What are you comfortable flying right now?domdino - 30-4-2009 at 04:34 PM

Agree with ragden, i don't think there's such a thing as a universal perfect all round kites... i've seen people use kites for every condition on
water land and snow that i would never want to use myself all down to personal
taste... try lots of kites and find your favorite ckyhl - 30-4-2009 at 07:24 PM
My main kite now is a 7.5m frenzy. I have only flown ozone kites so I am pretty naive of any other brands. I am comfortable snow kiteing and
landboarding but I can only do small jumps etc. It would have to be a depower kite with lift at least as good as a frenzy and very stable..... Hope
this helps......snobdr - 1-5-2009 at 08:19 AM
If your looking at going in the water your most likely going to need a kite just for that. The reason i say this i you need way more kite in water
then you do on land. Your best bet would be to goto the locals near where you are planning to ride and ask them what their most used kite is.
Depending on the foil a inflatable kite is around 2-3 sizes bigger so say a 10M foil may be a 13M LEI. These are estimates as it varies from kite to
kite. Like i said see what the locals are using.USA_Eli_A - 1-5-2009 at 08:29 AM
ckyhl, good advice, if you are looking for a great all around, landboard-kiteboarding in the 10m range. I'd grab the Instinct Light, it's very light
in weight, with all the durability built on. Becuase of it's light weight it makes load of smooth power in low winds. I'm getting a 12 to replace my
sport 13 so I can ride in light winds, winds my 15 works marginally in.
OR 9 or 11m frenzy for the snow no water.
For some reason, this kite is selling faster than the sport or edge. Even seasoned rider are raving about it's zippy light feeling while making
enough power in light winds to kite surf.
I don't know if many people fly the bullaroo, I shipped some out of my garage for a Best Team Rider that was dumping them for cheap, he mentioned he
like something else better and was getting those.snobdr - 1-5-2009 at 10:13 AM
Let me understand this, USA your getting a 12 lite to replace your 13 sport and its going to have better preformance in light wind then your 15?acampbell - 1-5-2009 at 11:26 AM
My 11 m Neo has a lot of miles on the land, starting in 6-8 mph and has been on the water in 12 +speleopower - 3-5-2009 at 08:24 AM
Flexifoil Blades are probably the best all around kites now. I haven't flown with them on snow but they will pull you around no matter what traction
sport your into.

the flexifoil blades are the best all around kites I have used them for land and water but not snow boarding they are perfect.
